An Important book
This book is written with front line workers in mind but it effectively highlights the problems that narcissistic parents cause their families. It's a book that will help the 'uninitiated' deal with people under the control of narcissists. Its a unique situation that isn't fully appreciated and needs to be highlighted a lot more in modern society

An extremely important and helpful book
This book provides not only urgently-needed awareness-raising and understanding of this profoundly serious issue impacting millions of people' lives, it also shares equally needed practical approaches and professionally-informed, caring strategies for those affected. Key information on this complex, challenging area of safeguarding is shared with clarity, authority and sensitivity. The book also encourages reflection on the points of view of all people involved, while effectively supporting others in navigating these traumatic situations for the best interests of children. I would strongly recommend this guide for anyone working with, or concerned by, the impacts on children (and adults) of narcissistic parenting and coercive control.

An excellent snapshot guide!
This book is written with Social Workers in mind, offering practical tips and guidance on working with narcissistic parents, their partners and children. It addressed issues of Parental Alienation and Coercive Control. The book is very well written and is easy to digest. It prompt practitioners to look deeper and beyond the surface to identify hidden dynamics that may be at play in cases of PA and CC. It is a must read for any Social Worker or CAFCASS professional who is looking to improve their practice and to expand their knowledge. The book also provides a useful insight for other professionals (Psychologists, Lawyers, etc) into how issues of PA and CC might be worked with by Social Workers.

Counsellors' Reading
Practitioners are in need of understanding the dynamics of the "truth" of clients. Clients need the practitioners, and the practitioners need support. Give some support when you can. ~ This book has given me loads of different perspectives so far. I will update you when I finish reading...
