OWC - Thunderbolt 3 Pro Dock - for Mac and Windows PC, 10Gb/s Ethernet, Thunderbolt 3, USB-A and USB-C, SD Card Reader, CFexpress Type B

This OWC dock has performed consistently. It's lightening fast with an integrated 10G ethernet port, and has a good selection of ports to use as a thunderbolt dock, supporting a multi monitor setup.

The original version of this was branded "Akito" which I believe OwC acquired a couple of years bag, and one of the major complaints was the fact is had a fan to keep it cool. The newer version, is completely passively cooled, which makes it silent.. Performance is as expected, i.e. I've got my MBP 14" connected to it, the 10GbE NIC works fantastically, in addition I have 2 Ultrawide monitors connected. Its not all perfect - the first major issue is the price, I was monitoring this for many months, where it sat above four hundred.. I think OWC have recognised this recently, as the price has dropped to something a bit more reasonable. With so much packed into this, especially the 10GbE NIC, there is limited bandwidth and everything is a tradeoff. But I feel a couple of enhancements would improve this, such as, moving the USB-C from the rear to the front (not the Thunderbolt), in addition to the DisplayPort, adding a HDMI Port. My only complaint is, 1 of my monitors refused to turn back on after exiting sleep, when I contact OwC they blamed it on the Macbook hardware, which is nonsense.. I used the exact same monitor and cable with my previous dock (which this replaced) and it worked perfectly TLDR - A feature packed dock, works well

A great hub -- I've had the previous version for many years (it is still operational except for the 10Gb ethernet connection -- which is essential for me). The old one was driven hard and has now been relegated to a non-network hub. I have been an OWC customer for decades and have never been disappointed.

これはたった1本の接続で電源供給と10GbE接続とDP1.4その他の接続を賄えるという神Dockである。 私の想定用途的には何の不都合もなかったので星5だが、今後これを買おうとしている人のために、 一つだけ注意喚起しておきたいことがある。 それは、添付のACアダプタが超ゴツいということだ。 具体的には、平置きした時の占有面積は本体の8割くらいだが本体より厚く、重量は本体より重い。 なにしろ180W出力（12V15A）である。本体との接続コネクタがデスクトップPCのビデオカードで 見るような6pinのコネクタなのは伊達ではない。 メーカーには、是非とも、GaNとかUSB PD EPRとかの技術を導入して、より洗練された後継製品を 出てほしい。SATA接続のSSDくらいの速度が出る10GbE接続は一度使うと1G/2.5Gには戻れない。 10GBASE-Tの発熱がアレだというならSFP+インターフェースで作ってくれてもいいのよ・・・？

When I first hooked this up, I thought it was broken; there was no network connection. I looked through the box twice, and it comes with no instructions. I turned my Wi-Fi 7 connection back on so I could look up troubleshooting, and I plugged in my Display Port monitor. My Display Port monitor came right up so I knew the Thunderbolt 4 Pro Dock was at least connecting and powered on. At this point, I opened Device Manager to see what device problems there might be, and finding none, I looked back at my network, and my 10GBe connection now had activity lights and was connected. I turned off my Wi-Fi connection and did a local network speed test with a high result of 9.2 Gbps throughput. If this had come with a HDMI connection, I would have bought it months ago, but after replaced my older monitor with a monitor with both HDMI and DP, I was finally able to upgrade to a faster ethernet connection; my built in ethernet connection was 2.5 Gbps, and I was only getting about 2.7 Gbps on my Wi-Fi 7 connection. I've only had my Asus gaming laptop on for about 30 minutes so there is no long-time experience yet, but IF this keeps working like it is now, I will be very, very happy.

Ma config est la suivante : MBP M1 Max / Bi-ecran Dell 4K 32 connecté en DP et 27 pouces en position verticale connecté sur le second port USBC vers HDMI / Reseau 10Gbe / Freebox Ultra 8G symétriques. J'ai acheté il y a quelques temps un CallDigit TS4 qui ne m'a pas du tout convaincu, j'ai eu un pb sur l'ethernet, j'ai mis du temps à trouver le souci du coup je m'en suis débarrassé. Je m'étais dis que j'essayerai un autre dock un peu plus tard vu qu'avoir des fils partout à brancher ce n'est pas super pratique, bref. Je suis tomber sur ce dock, je me suis laissé tenter et pour le moment je suis très satisfait ! Le bi-ecran est parfaitement géré (4K@60), je peux brancher mon MBP fermé les écrans se réveillent quand même, la config des écrans est bien sauvegardée, la puissance de charge est bien pour mon MBP et enfin j'ai du reseau à 10 Gbe, sans parler des différentes prises complémentaires. Il ne chauffe pas, ne fait pas de bruit, il est plutôt joli et le logo sur le boitier change de couleur lorsque le dock est connecté (Blanc vers bleu). Dans les défauts, je dirais le prix et l'alimentation qui prend un peu de place. Sinon tout est parfait. Je recommande sans problème.

Un piccolo concentrato di tecnologia che (finalmente) include tutte le connessioni che mi servono e che, se acquistate a parte, hanno costi singoli piuttosto alti. Ho quindi un cavo di rete a 10 Gbps per il NAS che mi permette un'ottima velocità di trasferimento dati, una display port per il monitor, due prese Thunderbolt di cui una che carica anche il MacBook Pro, tre prese USB e ciliegina finale, un lettore CFExpress tipo B (e un lettore SD) velocissimo. Indispensabile per chi lavora nel settore della fotografia.
