Q: Is the Mason jar a regular sized mouth? Can you use a store bought Mason jar with this blender?

I have found you can use a regular mouth standard mason jar IF you gently put a second gasket on the jar rim and then very carefully screw on the cross blade attachment. This makes the jar rest about 1mm higher when upended on the mixer, and also creates a tight seal preventing leaks. If it leaks or the mixer doesn't run, clean the extra gasket and try again. One more important detail. The crossblade's gasket is wider than all the other gaskets, even the ones on the lids included with the blender. I'd say it may be 6-8mm wide, and all the lids in with the blender, as well as any that are attached to pour spout lids or other accessory lids are 2-3mm wide.
