Awakening: Book One

Great story but needs an editor
So giving this story 4 stars bc I really did enjoy the storyline and premise of the book. Some notes for the author:1. Either find a new editor or if you don't have one get one. I read some of the other reviews that said it is very wordy-yes-100% there is SO much description or explanation at times that it literally just drones on and on. I found myself agreeing with one of the reviews that said they skipped pages bc it wasn't needed to the story...for example her time in the wilderness- it was so LONG and drawn out. Very not needed. On the flip side there were storylines that were barely explained-like her friendship with Meadow-it went from her taking pity on A to them literally being soul sisters with no true development in the story. Or her development w/the others in the pack: it went from them being weary of her-to her training with her-to accepting her w/no real roadmap or interactions of how that came to be. Further, there were times where there was a conversation happening yet there would be pages of description in-between the actual convo and it wasn't needed at all. All this to say is there are many other areas that could have been focused on instead of the environment of the wilds for 20+ pages.2. The ending...you literally took us on this 600+ page of turmoil and angst to finally give us what we wanted in the last few pages...which I completely get your setting up for book 2 but there could have been a little more to finish off book 1- like at least give us the morning after! haha I felt kind of deflated after realizing that's all I got after all this time I invested in the story.3. Overall, Im excited on readying the 2nd book when is hopefully comes out-soon? but hope it's a little easier to read and no scanning needed hahah

Unexpected Journey
I found this book from a Facebook ad and thought it was going to be a short watt pad kind of story. But no. This is a monster of a book. Storyline was very suspenseful and characters actually developed throughout the story. It made your heart break and heal at least 50 times. There was never a spot where you could just put it down and take a break. At some points, I couldn’t even take it and had to read a few paragraphs ahead to make sure I could keep reading!! I can’t wait to read more!

Four stars for plot
“For someone so strong, you sure like to cry a lot.” Colton, near the end of the book.Alora cries. A lot. This book would be about 30% shorter if she cried less. Or if there were less descriptions of her crying. She spends nearly the entire book crying, sobbing, shedding silent tears, fighting the urge to cry, or just plain melting down. It was really annoying. It would also be shorter if there were less details about her anger, but I'll forgive that. She has every right to be angry.I really enjoyed the storyline. Nice idea and good plot, but could have been more precise. Some of the word choices were odd or oddly spelled - not quite English spelling but not American. All in all, great effort.

Good but could use and editor
This is one of the more unique storylines I have read (in a great way- I was not able to predict the story at all) and overall it was a good read. Could use an editor because the typos and errors start getting bad toward the end. Great read though

Pretty good character development over shadowed by poor editing
The author does a good job of investing in the characters of the story. The plot keeps your interest. The downside is the poor grammar and multiple typos, which often cause delays in reading, as the reader has to stop and figure out what the sentence is trying to say. There is some lack of attention to detail that is annoying. For example, the bear the heroine tangles with is initially identified as a black bear, and in just a few sentences later is referred to as a grizzly bear.

Good book just need tweeking
The concept of the book is awesome. The only issue I have is that it is very wordy. To much on the description of the things and it repeats her thoughts overly so. I skipped over at least 2 pages of each chapter but did not miss any of the important parts or the gist of the chapter. I will read part 2 because like I said the concept is awesome. The writing is wonderful just a bit to much of going in depth on unnecessary parts.

Loved the book
I love rejected mate books but lately the ones I have read haven't been that great. This book was very enjoyable. I hope book 2 comes soon. I love the main characters. She gets walked on a lot but when she gets mad I love it. She actually sticks up for herself. This book was different but in a good way. The only issue I have is sometimes there is way to much inner dialog . Would recommend this book.

Pretty good
I enjoyed the story but had parts that I struggled to get through due to repetition. Sometimes it felt like it was an essay that the author was trying to meet a specific word count for. It wasn’t bad enough to scare me off though and I plan on reading the second book.

Never fail to amaze me
If you like supernatural books roller-coaster lives, twists, turns, love hate, heartbreak and wtf moments this book is for you.Thrown together by the fates An alpha heir and an outcast shunned by the pack seemingly because her family failed in the war but things are not all what they seem.Having read all of L.T Marshalls I can just say this is just as amazing as the rest

simply amazing
After the first chapter I was fully hooked and haven’t wanted to put the book down at all since I started! It’s so well written and beautifully explains all the emotions in the story as well, Colton and Lorey truly are perfect for each other! I can’t wait to start the second book now!
