Although this item worked for us 3 of the holes used to attach to the banister were not completely drilled through and there was no way to pass the Zip Tie through. This required us having to go get a power drill and drill ourselves...We had already attached to the rail with the Center zip tire by the time we realized it so that resulted in us having to cut that zip tie in order to drill...I do have to say it's nice that it came in a wood color so it matches very well.
