Asus makes the best laptop for the money. This is my second one, I have had Acer but in opinion Asus is a better product.

Given to my daughter for birthday - she is very pleased. This was a replacement lap top as she has had more than one before. She likes that it is light weight. Feel like it was a good value.

This came out on top of a list of 9 under-$300 laptops I compared when I started shopping. It had the most features overall and the largest screen, HDMI, and a backlit keyboard. It's got a complete keypad to the right. Some of the keys are annoying at first, especially the tiny arrows. Very comfortable, otherwise.It runs Windows 10 in "S" Mode, which limits you to Microsoft Store stuff only for security purposes--but this is easy to reset to allow access to third-party stuff like Google Earth or a different browser if you don't want to be stuck with Edge.

There have been problems with the "Network Adapter" since purchase. I called Asus, and they advised resetting it and I thought that solved the problem. Now, every time that I turn on the laptop, it must be reset which takes about ten minutes total. The screen must be positioned just right to get the best view and suffers greatly when not viewed directly. And the speakers are on the BOTTOM, so sound is muffled. (Who thought this was a good design?!) My previous laptop cost twice as much. Screen and speaker mounts were MUCH better. I guess that you get what you pay for. I would NOT purchase this model again.
