I can't say for the price I expected qualities of $30 chargers, but to be honest it does almost the same thing --which is charge fast. Now I can't say for certain this is a rapid fast because it's my first but considering this is a "generic" car charger save yourself the extra money and get this.

Works great, snug fit in my cigarette lighter. Blue LED is not overly bright which I like.

I've had this unit for well over a year and use it almost daily in the car. It's held up well and yes, it is a high-speed charger. Every bit as effective as my 110 volt house charger. A good value and a great charger.
