works great
I bought many dog grooming tools for use on my yorkenese so I could accomplish as much of her grooming as possible myself. She is a fur ball, with long, thick but fine hair that mats easily. This undercoat rake brush works great on her. It is very good quality and the perfect size for her (15#). I have some dexterity problems, but this brush fits comfortably in the hand and as stated, has a good grip. I try to use this every day after her walk and follow up with a steel comb if needed, then her slicker brush. On bath/big groom days, I use this as needed in combo with the Safari brand curved de-matting tool and Safari mat remover comb (my very fav tools) and the rest of the grooming arsenal. I would highly recommend this dog rake and the price is excellent too.

good deal
This little rake is sturdy and works well to remove undercoat. The puppies hate it, but c'est la vie (that's life). They have to be brushed and this little brush works and was cheap enough.

I like this comb for my Corgi
I like this comb for my Corgi. The long teeth allow it to get the under coat. Inexpensive and works very well. I recommend.

Don't use
Don't buy this product. Talked to out groomer and she said this is one if the worse combs to use on your pet.

Not needed for thinner coats.
I could see this comb being glorious for thick coated dogs. The rake like shape could really help you pull through thick fur in a way that a people comb just couldn't do. It is a nice little comb with a good grip on the handle and it's easily washed. But just a heads up, if you have heard all the hoopla about undercoat rakes, but your pup has a thinner coat like my little wire haired terrier mix, you don't really need it. I've posted a pick of him so you can have an idea what I mean. Sure he's got an undercoat, but it's not super thick or anything. His coat's thin enough that this rake actually works less efficiently than a little plastic toothed comb with narrower teeth that I picked up at the dollar store. But that's not the combs fault! I just don't feel it's really meant for thinner undercoats. But if you've got a pup with lots and lots of hair, I could see this comb saving your wrist a lot of extra work because of how this is shaped while you're pulling through all that fluff.

Great Product
My little rescue dog is sooo tiny, that this is a bit big to use on her. But, it's perfect for what it's intended to do. She's a Cairns Terrier Mix. I use a mix of brushes. No tangles or shedding.

Its a rake
I use this to get tangles out of my German Shepherd before hitting him with a furminator. Its also good for a quick brushing after a bath when his hair is all wet. I bought this to replace the one that I lost, and this is just as good as the previous one I had. Not much to say other than that...its an undercoat rake...it does what its supposed to and seems to be of good quality with a nice fat handle.
