So good i am going to buy physical copy too
Excellent resource that I will continually refer back to because of the numerous drills, regressions, progressions, and generalizations to get stronger, define positions, and meet the athlete where they currently stand!

Revolutionary Movement Book That Fills A "Gap" In The Weightlifting Library
This book is fantastic and is something totally different for the strength athlete's library. A book that fills a much needed "gap" in the weightlifting resources by addressing movement assessment and positioning that is essential for the weightlifter. This is not a technique or "how to resolve pain" book, but a book to better understand the optimal movements and positions that are required for weightlifting.I see this being an invaluable "user guide" and "go to" reference for coaches, athletes, and movement enthusiasts. The 3 main parts of the book (I. Foundation, II. Screening & Assessment, and III. Building The Movements) offer a revolutionary approach to optimizing movement that is both "user friendly" and easy to understand for all readers. There's a LOT of information packed in the book, so It's going to be important to find the few things that can be immediately helpful to the athlete or coach. This is also a book that can greatly complement other Weightlifting books because there's nothing that even comes close to taking such a "deep dive" into the snatch and clean and jerk, in terms of assessing and optimizing movement patterns. You'll learn how to assessment movement problems and then get specific "corrective strategies" and ideas to implement.Quinn did a phenomenal job in bringing his great ideas and systems into a practical reference for the athlete and coach. There's no reader I can think of that wouldn't benefit by using this resource to become a more "skilled mover" as it pertains to weightlifting. And, the hundreds of pictures in this book are also amazing to reinforce the assessments, techniques, and concepts covered.I'm excited to see the success of this resource because it's a tremendous guide you'll be able to use and apply to make a difference in movement and performance - for the weightlifter and beyond.Outstanding work and an essential, innovative Weightlifting contribution!

Great Book!!! Highly Recommended!!!
This is by far the best weightlifting book that I have ever purchased, and amongst the best books that I have purchased. The book does exactly what it says it does: teaches the reader how to assess and optimize Weightlifting movements. This book is not a designed to teach the reader the Olympic Lifts, so it should probably not be the very first book someone purchases on weightlifting (check out Greg Everett for that). However, it should without question be the second. This book is written in a very clear and concise manner that would allow some who is still learning the basics of the lifts to benefit a great deal. In fact, for a beginner who is not satisfied with his or her progress on the lifts, it is likely that this book will be the answer to improved performance.

Fantastic book that doesn't require a degree to use
As a novice masters (i.e., old) weightlifter who is just looking to get better at movement, this is a fantastic and very approachable book. Immediately, I was able to identify problems that I didn't recognize before. The last parts of the book constitute a pretty thorough but very easy to perform set of diagnostics that don't require being a specialist to understand. So, off I went running different random checks and sure enough, noticed an ankle impingement, identified some different aspects of shoulder rotation that needed work, etc. But this is after having actually spent the time to read the first parts of the book, which establishes why things are done, with a little technicality in there, but not so much that would confuse the average Joe.

Great book for all skill levels
I love this book. I keep it on my bed stand and read and re-read it all the time. I didn’t start Olympic lifting until I was 55-56, so there isn’t much chance I will ever compete, but I am so addicted to weightlifting now. I am not very strong, but working on good technique is something I can do, And the better my technique, the more I can lift (within reason). So, I study this book, work on the mobility exercises and try to perfect my technique. Since there is always room for improvement, I hope to keep improving. I just wish I had started this decades ago!!

Changed how I viewed mobility and stability!
You're telling me I can just breath into my upper back and move my scapula around to increase shoulder mobility and get rid of pain from squatting? Then I can lay on my back with my feet on a wall with a foam roller squeezed between my knees and increase my hip mobility for a better squat? These have worked better for me than any stretching and foam rolling I've done before ( still do some of that and there is some in the book too). I compete in powerlifting but I can still apply everything in this book. I haven`t had any knee or shoulder pain since I've implemented the exercises in this book, really great stuff!

Plenty of detail with concrete summaries!
This book is a great collection since I can always reference back to it when I feel I need to optimize a position for myself or a team mate. There are a few sections which refer to the importance of breathing and bracing your core during the entire lifts which were extremely helpful. I used to think I needed more shoulder flexibility for the snatch but after reading this I realized I was fine in that area and needed to focus on other areas for a stable bottom position. Great read with plenty of visuals.

Excellent resource for a clinican/athlete/coach
I truly appreciate the precise correlation of anatomy to its relevance with Olympic weight lifting technique and positions that Dr. Henoch describes. I feel that this sport takes the best of the functional positions that we in the rehabilitative world (as a physical therapist, personally) deem as showing "fullness" (range or motion, motor control, strength, etc.) and actually builds increased function or capability to an extent. Thank you for producing this book- it puts together my two great interests and will be a good resource for me as I continue to pursue and grow in both!

Poor image quality
Images within the book were grainy and black and white. Would have expected higher quality pictures considering the price. Nonetheless, the book has high quality information and Dr. Henoch's content is a great resource in general. Would recommend the kindle version as it seems to have higher quality images.

so they just do the movements that look like there the best
New coaches NEED this book. It's simple approach cleverly build a complex system with ease of use. Too often do text books leave new or young coaches still lost, so they just do the movements that look like there the best. This show the use and propose of all content covered

Unglaublich hilfreich
KLARE Kaufempfehlung!
