First of all this was packaged so carefully and thoroughly there would have been no way for this to have been damaged in shipping. The assembly didn’t take very long and the directions were in pictures so it was pretty easy to follow—even for one person. It is quite solid and heavy. The top is wood throughout and has a very warm cherry/mahogany finish that does not look cheap or out of place with our high end furniture. When opened it lays perfectly flat and is a nice large surface to work on when I’m watching television at night or socializing. When folded I can tuck it nicely along side my wing back chair. It just barely clears the arm of my chair but i prefer to have it tuck under the front of my chair so I can best make use of its full surface. I am very satisfied and so pleased I didn’t have to spend twice as much or more for less quality.

Absolutely love this. In fact I bought 2 of them. My wife wanted to have one downstairs then we put one in the game room. These are very sturdy, nice hardwood, well built. Note: as others have pointed out sometimes you may have a hole that is not pre-drilled, I had 1 hole out of 2 units. This was hardly even a pain for me as I have many tools and was easily remedied in a matter of minutes. I do realize that this may be more cumbersome for those not as handy. Otherwise assembly was less than 10 minutes. We were just about to buy the one at Pottery Barn (looks nearly identical) and I noticed this has the slots at the top for phones, books, iPad, etc. This is a really nice feature, it even holds special LEGO bricks nicely.

Love love love it. Came pretty much pre assembled and the only assembly required was minor and easy. I would buy another one if I needed it. The quality of the wood is perfect. It’s the exact same design as the one at pottery barn, amazing quality and design, without the heavy price tag. I’ve recommended to my friends.

Loved it so much I am ordering another for the RV. Update: I received the second table and it is nice, everything went together beautifully, but the hinges on this one make noises like they are too tight or maybe binding a little. Time will tell if it holds up as well as the first one.

I bought this table for a guest room to hold a small light, drinks, tissue, tablet, phone etc but to also use as a small desk, table space if needed and it looks/works great. It is a very solid, heavy table though so my only complaint is sliding it under a furniture or just generally moving it around can be difficult (especially under the sleep sofa, on carpet as I have it set up) It was very easy to assemble by myself, but as I mentioned above, it is heavier than I was expecting. Overall, I recommend this for ease of assembly, it looks great and functionality, However, if you need to move it around a lot take into account who will be using it and if they would be able to slide it easily. It's especially difficult to move on carpet.

I like that it's big and my laptop and mousepad and some extra stuff fit on it. It's heavy though. Like quite heavy. Long story short, I'm in temp housing since my house flooded. This house has carpet. Very hard to slide on carpet. My house has tile. Hoping I can move it much easier on tile. I have high hopes, since I like it other than the rough sliding on carpet.

I needed a C-shaped table to replace an end table--without giving up space. I ordered 3 different ones and was so disappointed when the other ones didn't work. This one is a WINNER! The wood is as beautiful as the picture. It is a nice weight. Not only are the hinges practical, they are classy. I use this as the sofa table and then it is perfect to use as a "TV tray". We also use this as a seat for our grandkids so they are able to sit up high at the table. One caution... it is heavy--Which is good and bad. The weight makes it strong and sturdy. But the weight requires a little more effort to move. It is a great, sturdy, beautiful addition to our Livingroom and our life. I would buy it again and recommend it to all. Everyone that comes over comments on it.

Unfortunately, my table has been delivered today with misaligned holes (hole on the leg bar does not align with the screw hole on the bar attached to the table top). My bars were also mislabeled (I matched the shapes and letters), but this resulted in a backwards assembly. However, I was able to assemble the table completely otherwise, and the magazine rack seems to be compensating for the screws I couldn't use; it's holding the two legs together. It feels fairly sturdy despite this. Otherwise, I really like the quality of wood for the table surface and it's a nice size for an individual, potentially two people when expanded. I also like the table height; it works well for sitting on a couch. I have contacted the company and am awaiting their response, but I am posting this review early so others are aware of this issue before purchasing.
