I’m done with trying to piece-mill repair the door latches using little aluminum cable end pieces and individual cables. This whole latch system is the only way to go for me now. It fits perfectly and works perfectly. Easy to install.

Bought 2 of these. A left side rear and right side rear. Worked perfect. Easy to install. Took about 20 minutes per door. Now everything works perfect.

Worked great, should be a permanent solution.

I have a 2005 150 ford extended cab. they right side would not open. after removing the door panels, i seen plastic white particles inside the door frame. i pulled on the cables & the door still would not open. I reached my hand inside the bottom locking and activated it by hand. it opened, could not do that to the top lock. i just unscrewed the top and center control, pushed against the top door and that opened. the new cableassembly was a direct match and installed quite easy.

Like some others, I opted first to try the fix that involves removing the shattered factory cable ends and replacing them with the metal ones. I fiddled with the tension for about an hour and then ordered these. They are an exact replacement and worked the first time, no adjusting. I do wish that these came with metal cable ends installed. I guess I’ll be ordering these again in another 17 years, which is how long the factory ones held out.

I had bought the replacement aluminum grommets. Fought getting everything aligned for 2 hours. Still did not operate door correctly. Splurged and bout this complete assembly. 20 minutes, no fuss, no muss. Door works hood as new. Just ordered for driver side. If one is wore out the other is certain to wear out also. 2005 f150
