I’ve been fortunate enough to have owned Mason Pearson brushes for the majority of my life.They are HANDS DOWN the best brushes on the market. This is a detangling brush; I own this and a boar bristle. My hair is thinning and falling out, and these brushes are gentle and help to stimulate your scalp.TIP: I recommend starting by brushing your ends out and moving up inch by inch, as opposed to starting at the top and needing to yank through the knots.

My boyfriend picked out this brush for me. As someone who has never spent more than a few dollars for a hairbrush, I was skeptical about whether this investment would be worth it. I was definitely pleasantly surprised! This particular brush is perfect for my hair type (slightly thick, tending towards wavy/frizzy), with bristles that smooth out snarls easily. It provides just the right amount of "pull"- not too soft, not too hard. Lightweight and compact, very good quality. Also, if you're like me and like to buy from companies that don't use child labor- Mason Pearson is a London-based company that's been around for ages.

The Mason Pearson hairbrush is amazing. It doesn’t pull on your hair and leaves you hair looking so soft. My hair is so thick that unfortunately I bought travel size. I do have problems in the sense that the brittle hardly touches my scalp but it’s my fault I didn’t buy the large size. It was just too much for my budget.

I don’t know whether it’s supposed to come like this but my box was open and the hair brush looked used. For the price i paid i deserve better.

Was skeptical when I purchased, my new favorite brush. Worth every penny. It also stated it’s good for hair growth, so that’s a plus too, if it works.

The ideal brush for long, thick hair, in a perfect size for a handbag. The bristles are firm enough to get through to the scalp and actually detangle without scraping or snagging. I have never found better and will likely use this brush for the rest of my life. Be careful not to confuse it with the boar-bristle version, which cannot penetrate thick hair at all.

I think for nylon this should not cost almost as much as the boar bristle brush which is my only peeve (I actually mistook it for the boar when ordering.) That said it does work very well and I use this smaller size as my regular brush; I have the large one but it feels unwieldy and this one travels well too. The well-spaced bristles separate and penetrate to the scalp yet don't tug, I think due to the puffy rubber base which allows for gentle flexing. I had their boar bristle pocket size for a good 10 years before bristles on the front end and most-used side began to break and I expect the nylon will last even longer. Once you try Mason Pearson in either material you're hooked; I tried subbing the drugstore look-alike but not even close.

You cannot get a better hairbrush than Mason Pearson. I have a larger one I have used on my long hair for over 15 years. They last forever. I like this detangler better than the mix of boar and nylon. I have both. Got this for my purse. This is gentler on my hair for some reason.
