Organic Perlite for Plants, Soil Amendment for Enhanced Drainage and Growth, Ideal for Potting Mixes (1 Quart)

I make my own African violet soilless mix. This plant needs a fast draining mix, so my mix contains about 40% of perlite. It’s an absolute necessity for African violets so they drain well and don’t retain the water, which will cause root rot and kill your plant. I’ve bought other brands that contained so much dust that the amount of product wasted was unreal. I find this product did not have a huge amount of dust, but by its nature, it will contain dust a the bottom. It’s almost unavoidable. The pieces are just the right size for my needs, they hold up for a super long time. I usually repot every 6 months and this perlite definitely holds up to that time frame, but I believe that I’m underestimating the product, I bought this for my mom and she repots yearly. This product holds up to her yearly repotting. I’d recommend this product for the reasons I mentioned, it’s very good quality, and doesn’t contain the dust compared to other brands.

I’ve been buying this perlite for several years now, and it has consistently been a great product. The particle size is perfect- not too fine and not too chunky- which makes it ideal for mixing into potting soil. It has no smell at all, and the bag is clean with very little dust compared to other brands I’ve tried. It’s easy to work with and blends well into different soil mixes. I use it for houseplants, and it really improves drainage while still helping with moisture retention. The soil becomes much lighter and airier, which makes a big difference for root health. Overall, I’m very satisfied with this product and will definitely continue purchasing it. Highly recommend for anyone looking to improve their soil mix.

Perfect size for my indoor house plants . Uniform size, 1/8" to 3/16" average . No waste , yery little dust , not even worth mentioning . Never tried perlite before , should be good for my succulents and cactus plants . This stuff is very light , almost like Styrofoam. Minus one star , overpriced ( same applies to other brands ) .

I ordered it, it showed up, it went into some coco, and its presently growing some fun grass in a crane machine.... at the end of the day its tiny rocks, what kind of review did ya want? it seems to be the right amount, it ships on time, and seems to be made of the right stuff. buy it grow in it and enjoy it.

The item description should list the weight of the item, not its mass or size. I question if the product would fill a quart size container, and the perlite pieces are quite small. I'm sure it will work for blending with the soil but simply won't go as far as I predicted. The price should be a little lower considering its weight.
