I’m in the middle of altering a new, $325 photo backpack. Part of me hates to spend even more on it, but I’m finally getting just what I want. These are very nice—the aluminum is a bit thicker than expected, and all edges are nicely rounded. The hook portion has a true hook to the end, which so far has worked great—I haven’t been able to get it to release from the webbing loop unintentionally (of course, by trying to intentionally unhook it “accidentally”). I also like that these are mirrored pairs. If weight is of absolute concern, plastic G hooks would be lighter. But these seem pretty bomb proof to me, and certainly don’t weigh that much.

This g-hooks are really nice! As others have stated these are pretty beefy but that means they will hold up well. Even though they are a good size they are not heavy for their size. And boy do they hold! I replaced a plastic snap buckle with one of these and the difference is night and day. When I set these to a point on the strap they stay. The hook side holds really well as well. This is a great buy and a great price.

Very durable and great upgrade on my ruck. Snapped almost all my plastic buckles and got these to replace it. We'll worth the upgrade, they are not as quick to open, but they definitely hold alot of weight.

Good finish and easy to use. I'm not putting them under a lot of stress but they feel pretty solid for strap down duties. I would buy again.

Great quality! Needed these for a soft top on my truck. Company had custom g-hooks for $30 for four. Chose these with 1” webbing and made my own! Highly recommended - great quality and good price.

These are thick, nicely coated (or anodized) and fit standard 1" webbing. I used them to replace broken plastic buckles. Great to keep some in the pack for emergency buckle failures

I bought these for replacements for a duffel bag I was modifying. They work nicely and feel sturdy.

Bought to replace a snapped clip buckle on the roof of our camper trailer. This thing is simple to use, solid and allowed for locking of the webbing which did not slip. Really, really useful and has saved a big bill for unstitching and replacing a buckle.
