I love it!
The storyUgh, this was so cute. I love Wyn and Danny and it was so nice to read about them again. This was definitely a sweet and low-angst read which I love. We could see more about Wyn's world and it was interesting to see how different it was. They had adorable conversations and sugary sweet scenes. I smiled throughout the whole thing. The plot was simple but I still loved it so much! ★The charactersThey are just so sweet together. ♥ I love Danny and Wyn so much. They are perfect together. I love that Wyn still acts like a big bad monster even though he is with Danny who is a human. He's protective and doesn't give a duck about others. We also met a dude named Orlith, a bratty monster who I found interesting. It would be fun to see him appear in future books. And Ara and Hag? I sensed some good tension between those two. ( ͡❛ ͜ʖ ͡❛)

I would read a dozen books about these two just wandering the wastes and being in love
This was such a fun novella with one of my favorite monster/human couples. And, I am really glad the author changed her mind about not having some mechanism to sync the characters life spans. Is it realistic? No, I guess not. But, I'm not reading a post-apocalyptic monster romance series for the realism. Ya, know? Haha.Three Thoughts:1. I absolutely love that we get to see the monster world in this - and I really hope there are more scenes/stories set on this side of the tear.2. Wyn is an absolute menace, and I could not love him more.3. Please tell me the confused the confused soldier is going to get his own book. With Orlith, perhaps?Usually I consider novellas/short stories to be supplemental reading, but not strictly necessary. But, to me at least, this is required reading for fans of the series. Especially if Danny and Wyn plan to share their newfound connection/knowledge with the other couples. Plus, it's all in Wyn's POV. Who wouldn't want to read that?

A Quick Side Trip Into Forever Love...
Where “Soul Eater” was the absolutely spine tingling and gritty, post-apocalyptic tale of a Wyn and Danny, the dark and brooding story of two opposite beings meeting destiny head-on in an explosion of inner discovery, hope, and love. A powerful story of truth, good, evil, and all the gray areas in-between. This one, Lily Mayne’s fourth book in her Monstrous series, and first novella, continues Wyn and Danny’s tale on a far more light hearted and personal level. Here with “Wyn” we are witness to just how much the Soul Eater loves his human, and how much Danny loves him. It is a continuation of their story in a most unique and swoon worthy way, a surprising twist in an already gorgeously addictive love story. One that will see our favorite couple leave through the tear in Texas and slip away to Wyn’s world in order to finalize a decision that will affect both of them for the remainder of time they are alive.Told from Wyn’s point of view, it is a sweet and heartfelt conclusion of sorts for this couple, one which I whole heartedly applaud. And one which answers some of the lingering questions their first book left you with (although it does spark a few more lol). Ultimately it will lead you down a path of true and everlasting love on a level unbreakable by any force in existence. If you didn’t already love this couple, this book will have you begging for a whole series based on these two alone as their chemistry is so enchanting, containing a level of sexy, banter filled connection so addicting you will dream of it. Once again, Mayne offers a sophisticated, emotionally intelligent, beautifully constructed story that will keep you captivated from start to finish despite some of the plot point issues that sadly plague it. As with Aury and Ghost’s story, this one again suffers from some of the same plot point discrepancies and issues, containing mismatches and some wonky age math that, in the end, just don’t match earlier descriptions of Wyn’s age. They are mistakes that will leave you going back to book one to see the age originally attributed to Wyn and counting the years yourself to get to the real number that would be attributed to the circumstance at hand when they begin talking about how their journey will affect Danny. Additionally, this one also continues to push the believability limits where the distances between states and places are concerned and again demonstrates a lack of understanding on the author’s part about the actual distances between all the different places she’s writing about. Despite the mistakes though you will love this story, you will fall in love with these characters all over again and simply beg for more of their journey. Here’s hoping we see more of Wyn and Danny in future installments!

I had imprinted on him without conscious thought in that moment, my blood pounding for him. He was mine. He was always supposed to be mine. I had just needed to wait for a long time to find him. But the wait had been worth it.

Monstrously Romantic
I absolutely adored this book. The journey was a delight. I loved the world building and Wyn’s dark, dry humor. Being able to read from Wyn’s point of view was everything I wanted and more with this novella. Can’t wait to read more.

side quest
This was a super cute side quest. I actually finished Lor before coming back to this novella, so I know why Lor has those poisonous plants. Sweet, gentle, beautiful Lor.I’m excited to see which of our other couples will decide to get hitched too. Cool concept. I would’ve been fine with the original concept of our humans living their natural life spans. But I’m happy they can do this too.

Wyn is my son.
I will die for this guy.He is so great. I love him in every iteration and I loved getting to see things from his perspective. He's so... nonchalant about his actions yet somehow riddled with anxiety.I love his vulnerability, I love the world Lily shapes.I really wish the author would hire some artists and publish an encyclopedia of the monsters!I would buy that in a heartbeat! And Olith is hilarious.

Cute novella !
Spoilers!!I was so happy while I read this book because it was adorable, soft, and this proves again that Danny and Wyn are perfect for each over. And they tethered their lives, which is so incredible, thank you Lily Mayne for that. It's always horrible when there is one character who has a long lifespan or is immortal and a human as lovers, it breaks my heart. So, I'm really relieved.

I love those two and their relationship is just so cute and heartwarming. I love that you just got to spend time with them in this book without much drama.
