Dissapointed
Loved the artwork, expected a great album full of satanic pounding riffs....Got great artwork. After building their reputation on Satanic themed riffs, great vocals and original music this newest offering is dissapointing.A return to 70's and 80's melodies and old stadium rock granny pleasing tunes.I know "sold out" is a cliched remark regarding bands changing musical direction, but sorry to say in this case it fits.Kaiserion is a decent live show opener, and 'little sunshine' and 'hunters moon' are reminiscent of old Ghost sound, but not the rest of this middle of the road 80's stadium stuff.I really hope this album is a "one off" mistake but the more popular they become the old elements of who Ghost are, are fading away.

Warped into hell !
Hot pink vinyl is quite apt as I reckon the record was put in its sleeve still hot ! My copy doesn't jump but is a bad concave/convex warped copy, so bad I wondered if the vinyl would touch the tonearm on the second side. Nevertheless, it still sounds amazing and given the problems of jumping outlined by another Reviewer, I'm going to hold on to this copy and see if a few weeks under a heavy book or two might sort it !!Anyway, a good album and much glossier and more 80's than previous albums. Def Leppard and Alice Cooper spring to mind on some of the tracks but, of course, with Ghost you just can't get the melodies out of your head. Even though I do think the tunes are a bit thinner and the album could have done with some experiment and rougher/harder edges. I might be totally alone in thinking "Twenties" is the standout with it's staccato rhythm and off-key chorus girls !! My three-star rating is mainly for the quality of the vinyl product, although to be honest, it's probably not a 4 star album musically. I can't see myself playing this album over and over like I have the previous Ghost albums.

Prompt delivery, product flawed.
Have been looking forward to this since it's release was announced. Delived today on release date. Disappointed in playing it to find the record was jumpy as all hell. New stylus on record player so I know it's not that.

Ghost’s Best?
Take all that’s good in 80s stadium rock and Ghostify it, you’ll end up with Impera. This album is full of great songs. Even twenties which sounds off on it’s own works in context.Kaisarion is just epic - it’s Rush, but not Rush. Spillways is Papa-Jovi.Just an epic record!

Really great vinyl and booklet.
I ordered this on the 12th. Got it delivered on the 13th. Great package, lovely pink and great sounding vinyl. No pops , skips or jumps. Flat clean disc. £23.50, why can't all vinyl release be like this? The songs are great, this band is getting better.
