Great product, pricey but worth it
It does everything and it’s a little quieter than the old ones. If you’re looking for best deal this isn’t it. It’s the best product and you pay for it. It’s the “set it and forget it” for a month, of vacuum robots. I’m lazy and I’m love this thing.

Best Roomba yet
This is the 4th of 5th Roomba we’ve had. All previous models were decent to good in functionality but every model prior to the S9 got stuck under furniture. I always was searching when we got home. That became an irritating factor. The S9 never gets stuck and really picks up dog hair off of hard surfaces better than previous models.

Gets stuck and needs factory reset frequently
So tired of it getting stuck and having to do a complete factory reset. Will be looking for a better brand.

Excellent Vacuum
I purchased another manufacturers vacuum that was recommended and returned it for this one. Set up was easy, the app works perfectly, and the vacuum works really well even with long pet hair. The roller can be removed if it picks up a loose cord or for cleaning. This is an excellent choice for a robot vacuum. The only drawback of this device is its loud. Both the self emptying function and the vacuum itself sound like a small jet (this is a little exaggerated). I would buy again given the choices.

A very intelligent machine
I love this robot.After running it for the first time it gave a very accurate and detailed map of the entire floor space (just under 1,000 square feet) allowing me to set up the room dividers in the app.The machine itself has great suction power.

Don't expect to set and forget
I have had this machine for almost a year and it still does not perform to my satisfaction. We have an area of 2500 sq ft on one floor. Even though i have programmed it to clean different areas on different days, it gets confused and does not do the job efficiently. The machine has to be monitored constantly while in motion. It gets lost, caught it small places or just stops without notification. It doesn't always return to base. If you forget to manually return it to base it's not ready for the next job. The instructions say nothing about the ease in which this machine clogs. When this happens there isn't an alarm to warn you. I found by accident how to clean the bin. It's supposed to be self-cleaning, not so much. It will run for ever over surfaces and not pick up anything.When works, it works well but never is it a set and forget.

It has helped me keep stuff off my floor because I have grandkids that put everything in their mouth!!

Been dead for 3 months
I guess I am one of the 'few' that the manufacturer claims to have a 'software issue'. In July the machine get shutting down/refusing to start due to a 'bin error'. iRobot stated a software patch was coming in September. September passed, now it's October. I expect at the end of the month they will skip November and head right into December with some amazing deals for their customers. I feel I am being duped until the warranty runs out!!
