I am Batman (Stories Change the World)

The media could not be loaded.  Really a fun book. Lots of Easter eggs for the parent if they are a fan and lots of ease for the child to understand characters and plot.

My son brought this book home from his school library; I ordered it right after reading. It begins w/Bruce Wayne as a child and goes through how his parents’ death, his worst day, led him to his life’s purpose and ultimately becoming Batman. It touches on the different emotions and obstacles he faced and the power within to overcome them. This book has so many messages that are important for kids to hear… adults too.I truly love this book as much as my kids do. It’s my new favorite book to gift, Batman fans or not.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I AM BATMAN is a charming fictional biography of the Batman character, tracing the journey of the young Bruce Wayne (always depicted at child size to aid identification for young readers) as he copes with the murder of his parents and eventually finds his purpose as the protector of Gotham City.Brad Meltzer's script is easy for toddlers to follow, and Christopher Eliopoulis' illustrations are charming, pitching the character just right as a source of fear for the exploiters and terrorists of the world but a friend to children.This book isn't just fun for kids; adult fans weary of the suffering Batman of the films and the Arkham games who is forever locked in a hopeless battle will find its optimistic tone to be a tonic.Lastly, the book takes pains to give credit to the many creators of the Batman mythos. This is not only a salutary gesture on the part of DC/Warners, but it underlines for young readers that Batman and his friends and foes sprung from the creativity of real people, and that their own creativity could be used to create a similar world of imagination.

My 5 year old loved this book!

I love these first two books and look forward to Sherlock Holmes and Tarzan.

This is a beautifully written book and a very smart way to tell children the story of Batman. My kids are obsessed!

Brad Meltzer does it again with the fantastic I Am Batman. Lots of easter eggs in the charmingly told and drawn story.

I loved the emphasis that you can do extraordinary things without super human powers.
