Replacement CPAP Headgear Strap for Amara View, Standard Size

My husband has been using this mask on a different machine than it's made for. The straps are on the thinner side for his machine, but he's not holding that against it. It still works fine. It has a thin, almost elastic material on it. It stretches a little, but not a ton. It's smooth, though, so it doesn't catch his hair, and he doesn't feel the seams. The velcro has been holding up well, too. He's been pretty happy with it.

It is not the same as the one you would order from the manufacturer. Its not the same size and headgear is so thin and cheaply made. I could not get it to stay or position right on my head to even use.

This is a must have if you use a cpap machine. It's easy to replace and once replaced it's way more comfortable then the old one and holds my cpap in place better so I sleep more uninterrupted. Amazing price because the stores tried selling me one 3x the cost of this so I'm glad I did my research first. You won't regret buying this

The original brand velcro wears out in 3 months or less, costs $25 to replace. Insurance only covers 1/yr. It is flexible, stretchy, thicker than this replacement and wider too. This adjustable headgear has zero give. The original, I could leave settings to fit my head & remove without disturbing. Or shove out of the way to take a drink. This replacement is so tight it hurts my face, cannot be removed without unhooking straps, thus being more difficult and not versatile. The velcro may be better buy I can tolerate these skinny, not cushioned, not soft, easily rolled & twisted, not stretchy, not versatile replacement headgear long enough to find out. Cheap price but cheap product so not a bargain.

These are nowhere near as well made as the original head gear. The material is much thinner, it stretches out of shape quickly and the Velcro is not as strong. These start out too small for my head. I had them as large as they would go and they were uncomfortably tight. For about an hour. Then they were good for a few hours of sleep, then they were stretched out too big and I have begun the process of tightening them. Every night I have to adjust as they continue to stretch and change.

I got this headgear to replace some of my current headgear that was wearing out. For ~$15, it's an OK value but YOU ARE getting low-end headgear. Not that is a bad thing, given that it's priced accordingly, just that your expectations for what you will get should be measured.I give it 4 stars because it works but took 1 star off because I feel that something as important as sleep, go ahead and spend a little more and get yourself a better quality headgear, at what WILL be a slightly higher price if you can afford it.

This thing is garbage. Super thin and is no where near the same quality as the real Amara one. Medical equipment can not be returned so I guess we are out of our money for this
