Fungarium Paperback – March 12, 2021

I’m a science teacher and have this as decoration in my office as a coffee table book. It is very oversized and nice looking.

There are a lot of lovely illustrations and interesting facts about fungus. A great introduction to mycology.

I got this book (along with some hand-blown glass mushroom ornaments from a local shop) for my niece for Christmas. She is mushroom obsessed and LOVED the book. It is beautiful and a good reference book for artists. As far as education goes, probably not the most bang for your buck, but aesthetically wise, it's amazing!

I bought this book to cut apart for collages but when it got here I was SHOCKED. This book is so incredibly beautiful and such a quality book that I don't have the heart to cut into it. Not only are the pictures so vibrant and crisp but the but the content is educational and well formatted and perfect for the person looking to learn more about fungi, which I am! When I'm not using this book to learn about fungi I'm going to put this book on a shelf propped open to a page to enjoy the pictures.

Five of the six authors are mycologists. The sixth is the illustrator, of the most beautiful and ethereal fungi you are likely to see. Learn how they reproduce, why they're closer genetically to animals than to plants, and how they are an utterly essential part of life on Earth. Written for a middle grade audience but suitable for adults, too.

Nice book, but the cover is damaged little bit it. Its supposed to be new

This book is so beautifully illustrated. Its not a field guide for mushroom hunters, but an illustrated informative piece on mycology. Large format with thick pages and again I compliment the illustrations. I look forward to purchasing the other Welcome to the museum Books. It did take a month to receive. I thought it was lost in shipping and the seller wasn't very attentive to my inquires on the delayed shipping. I recommend the book, but not the seller.

This is my daughter’s, 2 1/2 yrs old, favorite book. She wants to keep looking at it and wants me to tell her the name of each mushroom. “What is that one mumma?” This line of books is absolutely stunning and so beautifully made. Beautiful vintage looking art work and so much valuable information. Especially on Fungi it’s so hard to find good fungi books. This one rounded out our collection and since it’s her favorite I’m so glad we got it.

This book is really amazing. The pictures are clear the mushrooms are easy to identify do to let the large pictures and pages. My 4 years old daughter really likes this book.

I thought this would be a better book than it is. It is an oversized children's book basically.Probably would keep a five year old interested for about ten minutes. It is what it is.I was looking for some research photos, or illustration for my own artwork, for that reason it is disappointing.
