Item4ever Brown Bonded Nylon Sewing Thread #69 T70 1500 Yard for Outdoor, Leather, Upholstery

Purchased this to repair seams of my sun-sails, and spent hours on that project. Around the same time, I used a couple of feet of this thread to hang a gate lock key on a hook: in an area with half day direct sunlight. Two years later this thread just fell apart. I used 4 strands on the sun sail; hoping for a little more life.The 'outdoor' designation was the reason for me to buy the product and is misleading. It is like saying milk is an outdoor product (you can leave it outside, but when it goes bad, you're on your own)For sewing or other indoor projects it seems like a decent product. Color (light grey) was as expected.

This may or may not run through your home sewing machine. It's probably the heaviest a high quality machine could handle. It boasts an 11 pound break strength. It doesn't fray when cut, threads easily assuming you use the right needle, and performs well.I run this on my Juki commercial machine, which is a monster. It runs in the commercial machine like butter. Do remember to wind extra bobbins as the thread is so thick that you don't get much thread in length because it's so thick.

I ordered several colors hoping that it would be a good fit for my need. After trying it out on my dog collars I am pretty sure that I did not get v69 T70 bonded nylon sewing thread. When you heat seal the ends it burns strangely and has a bad odor. Do not recommend. Plus I emailed the seller 2 weeks ago or more and never heard a word back. USE CAUTION!!!!!!!

I use this thread, and other Size 69 / T70, threads in both of my machines (White 1855 - "supposedly heavy duty" home machine, and Singer 20U53 - light commercial) with no issues as long as I use the correct size needles and properly adjust tensions for the thread and material being sewn. The needles I use are 110/18 in the White, and 120/19 in the Singer.

Nice smooth thread that just flows in my old singer 221-1. I've had rougher thread bind and twist before. Pleasantly surprized by this high quality thread for my outdoor and boat fabrics. The color is a perfect royal blue. Nice and vibrant. I highly recommend this thread for outdoor and boat fabrics.
