Decent pan
This is a decent pan that was easy to season.*update after a year and half use*This pan isn't decent, it's fantastic.I use it just about daily. After a year and a half of heavy use like this has had, even a pricey non stick would be wearing out. After the initial seasoning, just regular use made this made this the most slippery pan I could have wanted for most things I personally like the handle and the weight. I use it over gas and it heats very evenly, can get tossed into the oven if needed, cleans up quick and never shown a bit of rust (make sure it's dry after cleaning, that probably helps)I seriously rarely ever even put it back in a cabinet and just leave it on the stove top because I will likely use it the next day.

Great
Can’t say much more. Does the job, easy to season. It’s a go to for us.

Poorly designed pan
The media could not be loaded. Buyer Beware! An update to my first review. After contacting the seller and explaining that I was unhappy with the product they proceeded to gaslight me saying how the curvature of the pan bottom was normal. I’ve uploaded a video of the pan so Amazon users can decide for themselves if they wish to purchase a pan that’s curved on the bottom outward against your range surface. The manufacturer claims the design you’re seeing in the video showing this type of bottom curvature is purposeful due to expansion of the steel material when in use, or as they said “totally normal”. Well it doesn’t take much research to find the OPPOSITE is true. Curvature should be slightly concave/inward against the stove as the normal position. This would make the fluids in the pan collect around the edges of the bottom like a donut and flatten when heated. This Made In pan is curved downwards and the fluids pool in the middle and is even more exaggerated when heated. The pan rocks back and forth on the cooking surface causing the fluids to generally pool toward the heavy handle side of the bottom. The pan spins easily on the cooktop and in my opinion creates a dangerous condition. When the pan is heated this warped condition is worse. But apparently this is normal? This pan is difficult to use and produces poor results in cooking. My advice is to look elsewhere with a different manufacturer.

Expensive but worth it ???
This pan does promote even heating as advertised. But the rim is raw metal - not anodized - so it can cut you when you clean it.Prefer Bourgeat but couldn't find it.

Lightweight alternative to cast iron
I like that it’s lightweight and well made, but the seasoning process takes a while. Made-In has good videos and website support, but don’t expect it to be nonstick for a good while. It’s nice and deep and the arched handle makes it easy to use and helps to keep it cool.If you follow their cleaning recommendations (paper towels and oil and/or oil and coarse salt) it takes a bit longer but doesn’t strip the seasoning like hot water and a scrubber does.I wish I’d bought the Made In seasoning wax and tried it instead of oil. If you do use oil, make sure to use a THIN COAT of high heat oil like grapeseed oil instead of vegetable or canola oil. Otherwise it will be sticky after seasoning.Overall I expect this to be a long-term and safer alternative to nonstick pans but you’ll need to be patient through the seasoning process.

Won't season.
My wife and I have been trying since 11/23 to get this panned seasoned, have had several arguments, discussions. I always (husband)say, treat the pan like it's on the cattle round-up in the early 1900's. LOL. Little dirt, rocks, all good for it. I purchased Made in seasoning goop, followed instructions. No soap. Have had zero luck getting seasoned., sticks and is a pain in the butt. What am I doing wrong.

Rusted on first wash. Seller provided full refund.
The product description says it "resists rust." I never used the pan, but it had a residue in it when I received it, so I put it in the dishwasher. The fine-print product features do note that the pan is not dishwasher safe, but I did not notice this until later. I removed the pan the next day and it was thoroughly rusty, including the inside and outside of the pan, and the screws that hold the pan to the handle. The handle itself did not rust. The rust was not easy to remove, and the bluish (coating?) on the inside was faded almost entirely away. The pan is also very heavy, the handle is arched in an odd shape that makes it difficult to hold.I threw the pan in the trash, never used. The seller, on their own initiative provided a full refund, after the earlier version of this review.

Third carbon steel pan from Made In
The title says it all - this purchase was actually my third carbon steel pan from Made In (and fourth order with Made In overall). I have been very satisfied with my previous two (unseasoned) carbon steel pans that I ended up gifting this one. Seasoning the pan is extremely simple, and the box that the pan comes in includes instructions on how to do so; I was pretty much making eggs easily (and with minimal sticking) after my initial seasoning. What I love the most about carbon steel is its versatility: as I mentioned earlier, it can handle delicate foods like eggs (I've also seared fish on it); but it can also handle the kind of high-heat searing required for steaks. I awarded four stars for versatility, because - like cast iron - there are some foods you should avoid making on these carbon steel pans, because acidity can strip the pan of its patina and require re-seasoning (so I wouldn't be cooking tomato sauces on it).My satisfaction with this product is such that I am already thinking about the next item I want to buy from Made In's carbon steel line (although I'm fairly sure it will be the grill pan, since grilling season is just around the corner).

Phenominal cusomter service
I wrote a 2-star review nine months after purchase even though the pan was ruined within the first week of purchase. (yeh, yeh, should have contacted them right away, but I figured it was my fault it was ruined while trying to season it in the oven, which maybe it was? but I don't know). The seller replied to my review and offered a full refund even though I never contacted them directly or made the request, and it was way beyond a normal return window.I will now buy the pre-seasoned 10" blue carbon steel pan because I have no doubt it's a great product based on the bit of cooking I was able to do with it, and there's no risk when there's customer service like this.Original reviewDuring seasoning in the oven the product was ruined. The bottom appears to have warped because it won't sit flat on any burner. This is the blue carbon steel pan.

Time consuming to use, plus it warped
I tried to follow all the instructions, and I've spent hours treating it and caring for it. But it still warped on the bottom, and the coating isn't nearly as durable as those on other pans I have. It's a nice shape and feels nice to use. And I like how quickly it heats up / cools down.
