Bright but not very comfortable
As it arrived, the battery is 90% full - it has a nice battery charge gauge on the rear. Press the button and it lights up letting you know if you need to charge it up or not. When it does need charging, it comes with a short USB cable you can plug into a USB port or other plug charger you've got for other equipment. The battery pack is mounted on the rear so it'll be on the back of your head. The power switch for the device so you can turn it on, cycle through the modes and switch it off is found on the top front just above the lamps. One press turns the centre one on, second press the two on the sides and a third press all three lamps come on. A fourth press goes to strobe mode (which is VERY annoying!) and a fifth press switches the unit off.The reason I've given it only four stars is it's not comfortable. A small piece of foam mounted between the plastic plate that sits on your forehead and the strap would have been very nice and given it five stars. As it is, I'll have to add something there myself otherwise I can see this getting very annoying very quickly and taken off.

Potholes
This is for pot hollers. Bought for our garden at night. Awesome and so brilliant. Too bright for intended purchase but excellent value.

I see them, They see me
A perfect item & a must have when in regards to cycling at night. The light is so bright I have had truckers flash me to reduce the light whist facing oncoming traffic. It has three functions with a flashing option also.I especially like the recharging capacity as I HAVE SPENT A NEEDLESS FORTUNE ON AAA batteries on inferior models in the past.As a cyclist of whom uses his bike for work this is a must have.

An excellent buy for night running
I have been using my Victoper V3000 Rechargeable Head Light most days for about three weeks. I bought it to guide my way on my pre-dawn runs along dark, deserted Devon country lanes. It appears of robust design and has an ‘on the head’ weight of 267 grams. It fits very comfortably and firmly on my head (with or without a beanie hat on) and produces a nice powerful light that lets me see both well into the distance and what is immediately in front of me. There is the option of a main beam only, main beam augmented by two side beams, or just the side beams. The main beam alone is perfectly adequate for me, but the two side beams do give an added sense of security, and may assist with spotting ice in the cold winter weather to come. I have tested the head lamp with all three beams switched on and found I got about 2.5 hours out of a full charge. If you do not use the side beams as well this length will increase – though like all rechargeable batteries they will deteriorate over time. The light is supplied with two unbranded 18650 3/v li-ion 2200mAh batteries. This is the budget end of the 18650 range. My research suggests I will get a better charge length using 18650 batteries with a higher mAh rating. When the batteries supplied eventually expire on me, I intend to upgrade. 18650 batteries are readily available on the internet if not on your local high street and are said to be rechargeable between 300 and 2000 times depending on the quality of the battery (and some of them command very high price tags!).Supplemented by my front and rear body lights, this head lamp perfectly meets my running needs. It beats a fellow Club members far more expensive, trendy brand head lamp hands down!Twenty years or so ago, I took part in after dark trail running. I wish it had been available then. It is far better than the low powered head torches that we had to get by with then. Equipped with upgraded batteries and, possibly, a spare set as well, it would have been a god send. How things have moved on.
