I bought this strap a long time ago, and never reviewed it. I was going back through products I've purchased and thought I should post my feelings on this strap. It's awesome. I've been using it for close to a year, on my very large laptop bag that I carry lots of stuff in on a daily basis. It probably weighs 20-25 pounds on average, and this strap definitely makes the load feel lighter. It's extra large shoulder pad is very comfortable, and tacky so it stays on my shoulder where I put it. It's still in great condition with no frays and looks like it did when I bought it. Should I ever break this one, or need another, I will for sure buy this again.

Clasp doesn’t last
Purchased on September 22, 2023 before the end of the year the clasp was no longer working. Prior models were a better quality and lasted years. This one only lasted about three months would never buy again.

I don't feel that it makes my bag feel any lighter or re-distributes weight noticeably better than my original strap
Works well for my soft-sided pet carrier that I carry cross-body. Only downside for me is that the padded part doesn't slide so the strap has to be adjusted on both sides for proper fit. This is a little difficult for me as I switch sides crossbody and therefore have to readjust. I don't feel that it makes my bag feel any lighter or re-distributes weight noticeably better than my original strap. The strap feels well made and the hooks seem sturdy.

Probably shouldn't use this for 15+lb bag for comfort reasons...
I hated it.Maybe I was expecting too much out of a shoulder strap, even if it's boasting a "sports-tuned suspension system"... but when you're using the strap to carry a 22lb wooden artist supply box, those bungee cords really dig into your shoulder (which hurts!)I mean, I guess it feels better than one bungee cord digging in, since it feels like two...Point is, if you're trying to use it for something crazy such as carrying a 22lb bag (like I am), don't expect it to do much. It's probably better than your average shoulder strap, but those double bungee cords end up being a con rather than a pro.Note to manufacturers: consider adding extra padding (foam? memory foam?) underneath the shoulder pad area; otherwise, that bungee cord, while great as suspension system, end up causing shoulder discomfort.

Search for the perfect strap
Having suffered too many broken or uncomfortable straps on my laptop bag, I came to Amazon in search of the perfect strap. After looking at way too many product reviews, I narrowed it down to five different straps and put them to the test. The Contenders:• Victorinox Comfort Fit Shoulder Strap• OP/TECH USA SOS Strap for bags• Skooba Superbungee Strap• Travelon Shoulder Strap• Klein 58889 Padded Adjustable Shoulder StrapThe Klein Strap is really intended for tool bags. As such, it is extreme duty. If I wanted to take a bag to war, this would be the strap I’d get. I can’t imagine it ever breaking or falling apart. That said, it is not going to work for extended carrying (ie., running through airports) – it’s just not comfortable enough for extended use.The Travelon strap gets good reviews and it is moderately comfortable. The shape of the padding allows it to be easily thrown over either shoulder and the price is right. However… It slides. There just isn’t enough grip on the padding and it easily slips off your shoulder. If you wear your strap across the chest like a messenger bag, then his is probably the one to get.The Skooba strap. It’s large and in charge – probably the most comfortable of the five straps, but you’re certainly paying for the comfort – this isn’t cheap. The bag feels 50% lighter with this strap compared to the others – the suspension system really works. But, it also slides – there is just not enough grip in the padding to keep it on your shoulder. If you have small shoulders, it’s even worse due to the width of the padding. The padding width and lack of curve also makes across the chest carrying awkward. The OP/TECH. Again, the price is right and a close second in the comfort department to the Skooba. I really like this strap, has enough grip to stay on your shoulder without sliding and the neoprene really works to reduce the feeling of weight. Added bonus in that the straps can be disconnected from the hooks and can be fed through a buckle system. However, this strap just doesn’t feel like it’s going to hold up to heavy use. It feels somewhat lightweight. The Victorinox. This strap excels in the grip department – I have absolutely no fear of this thing slipping off my shoulders. The padding is moderately comfortable, maybe just slightly more comfortable than the Travelon, but nowhere near the OP/TECH or Skooba. It appears well constructed and looks like it will hold up to heavy use (and it should, given the price).Final results? None get 5 stars. The Victorinox is going on my laptop bag. It has the right mix of grip/durability and comfort, but at the highest price of all five. I’m keeping the OP/TECH as well and will use it for a lighter bag – I’ll report bag on whether it holds up long-term. If it does, then it may graduate to the laptop bag and become the final 5-star winner. The other three straps are going back. In the end, they just didn’t make the cut for my usage.

Distributes the weight more even than most straps
I bought this for a Solo laptop bag because the strap that came with it frayed and fell apart about 3 months after I bought it. I used the bag a lot because I fly a lot and travel through airports very frequently. I need a bag that can take a good beating and still survive AND...also need a strap to make this happen. I have had this strap for around 2 weeks now and it's not bad. It does distribute the weight a little better than most straps because of the bungee cord part. Its fairly wide and rides on your shoulder rather well. I definitely would give this a good rating. I hope it lasts awhile but I can update if it doesn't.

Cannot handle heavy loads.
When it worked, it was very comfortable. I used it to carry my 20 Kg soft luggage. It lasted about a week when the superbungee broke and it expanded to its maximum size and stayed there. If you carry something heavy, do not buy.

Good strap, works well,
Good strap. I replaced a padded strap that literally fell apart. Don't think a lot of padding is what's needed. Pads are nice, but they slide and shift. This works really well because it distributes the weight evenly (my computer bag weighs at least 10-12 pounds) and it doesn't slide off my shoulder. I use it with the curve towards my neck. Most other straps I've had have a tendency to slide off.Only issue is making sure the correct side is up. It still works either way, but it's designed with the bungees up. Shock absorption I haven't noticed, but then I haven't noticed any shocks. It's just there doing what it's supposed to do. When it's on, I just notice the weight and that it's not sliding off.If I needed another strap, I'd definitely buy another one of these.
