No, it’s less effective. It has some colouring effect but is not like using dye.

It’s very hard to find out about this company, but many companies still test on animals - many more than people realise. Usually if a company does not test on animals it will make it clear on its packaging as it’s a great additional selling point, so if a product does not mention it I would presume it tests on animals - especially if it’s an American company and sadly this one is.

Contains an ingredient called p-Phenylenediamine, or PPD which is thought to cause itching, rash and blisters. Very important to do the skin patch test first as you can become allergic even if you weren't before.
