Creative Designs Using Shaped Beads Paperback – May 6, 2014

Full of interesting and creative ideas for the new shaped-bead craze. I'm not a total shaped-bead fan, but this gives me some useful ideas (and variations), and a good cross-section of the genre. I made my own version of one of the designs and it was most satisfactory. This book will go into my keeper shelf. It's well written, clear, and even an old hand like me can learn from it.

Not a whole lot I was interested in. I like using the czech bricks, super duos, seed beads, and crystals. Although there are designs in this book for those beads, I did not like any of the patterns. I would advise going somewhere the book is sold and thumbing through it first.

I expected more patterns for shaped beads. I instead found it mostly seed beads pattens. I think the designer should have waited to put this out. Did not have real magatame bead patterns

I am a bead stitch addict, but wasn't having much luck finding interesting patterns for some of the new shaped beads. This is a great book with well designed instructions

very clever designs, exceptional engineering and instructions. it's obvious that a lot of thought and planning went into the designs, resulting in beautiful pieces!

Not much that I would make. Directions are not clear.

I'm an 18-year beader yet these designs are fun and still unique. Great for beginners or for experienced beaders.

Both books are very professinal, easy to use, easy to undrestand the demonstrations,very good illustrations and pictures. A very successfull buy!!

Love everything by Anna and this book is no different. The only thing for me, and this is entirely a personal view, is that some of the patterns were way to 'out there' for me to ever wear - won't stop me making them though as I have lots of friends who would really appreciate one of them as a birthday/Christmas/I love you gift. I love the way Anna gives you design options too. All Anna's books are well thumbed and in a prominent place on my beading book shelf. This one will happily join them.Thanks Anna

This book was everything I wanted in terms of designs, clear diagrams, good photos using the shaped beads,Iwould definitely recommend it as being useful for all abilities and I like the author.I have another of her books CrystalPlay which I also love and would also recommend for the same previous reasons.

I was expecting more from Anna Draeger. A little too mundane in designs-could have been more exciting especially after her first book.
