Review: These might be just books for you people, but for readers it's more than that. I was utterly disappointed with the cover of the book that looked worn out. I didn't pay for an old book then why did I received one that looks old. Edit - Thanks for replacing my order within a day. I'm quite impressed with the urgency that you showed. Review: Just what I wanted and good value EB

Chaucer is often referred to as the "Father of English literature". Along with this, he is also famously known as the "Father of English poetry". Chaucer belonged to the fourteenth-century era. His writings give an important insight into the medieval English society. His most famous work The Canterbury Tales is a collection of several stories narrated by the pilgrims during their journey to Canterbury. The pilgrims, who belonged to different ranks, shared their stories, thus giving the reader an understanding of the traditions, lives and the social sphere. . One of the most interesting thing about Chaucer's work js that he tried to include and give voice to every section of the society. Apart from the language, the overall story and themes are pretty much simple and interesting. The tales focus on religion, morality, theology and domestic life.

First, the paper is the worst quality of modern junk, the pages are as flat and even as a rough sea. But worse is the fact that the translation, instead of being opposite the original, is in every case on the BACK of the original so you have to keep turning back and forth all the while. Totally unnecessary, just needless deliberate aggro. Sent it back.
