Wilton Disney Frozen Elsa Cake Pan

When my nephew gave me his "order" for his 6th birthday cake, I knew that Amazon would be the place to go to buy supplies. Specifically, he wanted aliens on his cake. After settling on using marshmallow fondant for the aliens, in a last ditch effort I scoured the internet for alien molds (because honestly I didn't feel like hand-making 6 fondant aliens). I eventually came across this mold. I knew that even if it tanked for the fondant alien project, I'd still be able to use it 7 months later for Christmas. This mold fit the bill so wonderfully. I was able to make his "white aliens with 3 red glowing eyes, purple shirts, and pink underwear" by using this mold and  Ateco Marker Style Food Color Kit . (see my uploaded pic) My very discerning/picky nephew upon seeing his cake simply said "that's what I wanted." Yet another special occasion saved by Amazon!!

I really am fond of these silicone molds. I use them for gelatin snacks and DIY projects. I keep them separate for obvious reasons.Very easy to make healthy snacks using gelatin and your favorite fresh squeezed or fresh pressed juice. Place these on a cookie or backing pan, fill with your gelatin/juice, then place in the refrigerator. Remember to place the mold on a baking pan or you will not be able to lift it without everything spilling all over the place.For DIY products, I make lotion bars, bath bars, and soaps. I add essential oils.These molds are very versatile and good quality. Very easy to clean using warm sudsy water.I bought several in different designs. I will definitely purchase again

This silicone mold works awesome for making your own gelatin gummies with grassfed gelatin powder and juice, and then refrigerating. They are the perfect size and come out easily of the silicone mold. My only suggestion is that if you are making the gelatin gummies, make sure the mold is on a cookie sheet or something solid underneath because otherwise it is difficult to move and keep straight without spilling. I have not used it yet for baking but I imagine it would also be good for gluten free baking. I use a lot of silicone molds for my gluten free baking products, because they do not stick in the silicone molds like they do in traditional baking.

This is fine, but it wasn't what I expected. The little men are much too big to be daily gummies, which is what this mold came up as a suggestion for. It's more useful for small cookies (unless you like eating overly large gummies). Also, it is incredibly hard to get the gummies out without them breaking. I haven't had an issue with other molds, but this one is tricky.

I bought this to make cute lil sugar scrub gingerbread men for Christmas presents for my friends and while I absolutely appreciate the timely fashion in which it arrived so I can get busy crafting, it could have been a little cleaner. I got the feeling it was used or kept someplace unsanitary prior to shipping. The cardboard packaging was torn up and literally fell off of the mold when picked up, the mold is covered in dirt and there is actually a shortish, thickened, black hair...like a beard hair, yeah we will definitely call it a beard hair, on it! Ewwww! Good news, the mold is intact so after its cleaned I'll still make adorable soaps with it.

I bought this last November because I have a gigantic gallon sized bag of old used broken crayons. So rather than throwing them away, I decided to buy this silicone mold in order to re-melt them into the shapes of gingerbread boys. This worked like a charm and I had no problems getting the crayons out of the mold even with my intended purpose. They came out great and I got rid of my gallon sized bag of crayons. Woo-hoo! I might even buy another mold to make gingerbread cakes this holiday season.

I have used these for making lotion bars, sugar scrub soaps and several other spa products. There has been no lingering smell from Essential oils, no staining, and everything (even waxy lotion bars don't stick to the mold) comes out easily & perfectly! I don't ever put mine in the dishwasher, I clean it with an old toothbrush, warm water & dish soap. It gets wax from crayons out perfectly too, even after sitting for a day.

I used this to make gingerbread bath bombs and soaps. Worked great. I let them set overnight and they popped right out. I also used them to make crayon-men with melted down crayons, worked equally well and just waited for those to cool before removing.

Wilton is always a great brand. Happy with purchase.
