Didn’t work for me
I bought this to connect the left and right output channels of a Mackie mixer to a Bose L1 PA. Unfortunately, it didn’t work for me. I don’t know if the cable itself was wired incorrectly or if this couldn’t be used to do what I was trying to do. I opened them up to see if there were any broken solder joints and everything appeared to be well soldered. I found another Y cable with all mono plugs at a local music store and it worked fine. So, not knowing if this unit was built incorrectly or if it wasn’t meant for what I needed it to do I couldn’t give it one star or five stars so based on the quality of the soldering and material, I went for the average….three. Sorry I can’t help out any more.

Quality cable
What makes this cable extra special is that the plugs / jack have screw down access for re soldering or modification. Well made product. Highly recommended.EDIT: As has been mentioned in a previous review, the jack outputs stereo ONLY if the plug inserted into it is inserted until it reaches resistance ( not fully clicked in). The jack can be modified to become fully stereo by unscrewing the cover for ONE of the cable plugs & unsoldering the SHIELD ONLY. THEN the unsoldered wiring must be isolated from touching the plug. (taped or otherwise). I use my cable for stereo headphone connection to monitor outputs so the mod is not really necessary, but would be prefered for a more robust / secure purpose. Again - this cable is as good as is available without a custom build. Great quality !

1/4" female side is loose
The product looks well made and durable. Looks like good quality material. However, the 1/4" female part is too loose. So whenever I plug in ANY (and I've tried several) 1/4" Jack into it, the connection is very loose and easy to slip out. It should be a snug fit with a "click" when you connect them. This was the reason for the 1 star. I don't know if I received a faulty model but I thought people should know. Loose connections can cause big problems in recordings/Livestreams etc.

One side failed, can't contact for warranty...
I've had this adapter for less than a year and one side has failed, which doesn't allow for any sound to come out when both sides are plugged in. Sound only comes out when the bad side is disconnected. It has a one year warranty but there's no way to contact the seller if manufacturer to process it. VERY DISAPPOINTED.
