Chef's Cut Real Smoked Beef Original Recipe Jerky, 14 Ounce

so tender and tasty...very glad I gave this a try

This is by far the best quality beef jerky I have found. I am comparing it with Tillamook and Think Jerky. This Chefs Cut jerky is tender, and I can almost always eat and swallow every complete piece with no gristle left. Whereas with the Tillamook and Think Jerky brands, almost every piece is hard to chew, and almost always every piece ends up with a gristle core that cannot be chewed any further down, so I have to spit it out, and am left with a pile of gristle on my plate. The Think Jerky has the benefit of being the lowest in sodium, but the Think Jerky beef is lower quality compared to this Chefs Cut jerky. The sodium content of the Chefs Cut is higher than the Think Jerky, but it's not too bad compared to most jerky that has even higher sodium. My standard is that the sodium percent of daily amount should be less than or equal to the protein percent daily amount, which as a rule of thumb is twice the number of grams of protein, which is important to know, because many labels list the grams of protein but not the percent of daily amount. I have tried both the Original Recipe beef flavor and the Teriyaki. I like the flavor of both, but I prefer the Teriyaki because it is not as spicy as the Original flavor.

The Jerkey is on the softer side which is great for ppl with dentures and the taste is excellent

Not even worth the one star but are forced!! I heard great things tender pieces, flavorful! And actually tasted like chicken! HA! 1-Not even close to tender i understand that it’s jerky and it’ll be tough but to not even soften after being in your mouth and chewing on like a fat lump just not soft.. 2- it is supposed to be honey BBQ flavor it tastes like the same old jerky seasonings from jack link! 3- I bought it because turkey jerky is my all time favorite go to jerky and with it being so expensive I take pride in only buying the ones I know I like and are worth the money! Im sad my hopes were high for this! But the pieces are just completely unable to chew, flavors are just the same old same old!! Pieces even look dry and hard! Again I realize this is jerky but the cuts of meat and how the product is processed matters!!!

These were well packaged. It was a hot day and they held up well. Great flavor.
