Great replacement - probably should carry a spare
These thumb throttles are not very robust. My original broke in just a few months and I don't know why, the spring just came loose inside. But the replacement was inexpensive and I would buy it again or maybe even just have one as a spare. Nothing will ruin your plans more than when your e-bike is broken!

Not working, or not compatible with izip / transx mid drive
Just got my bike together, and had this sitting on the sidelines until the bike was running again (bad motor) . Got everything going, and installed this throttle. At first, nothing. Then when I went to shut the bike off, it made the motor go to full, luckily, I had a hand on the seat and could lift it and cut the power.If you have an izip / raleigh bike, that uses a transx system, this either wont work, or its just a dud. Not sure.
