Good for your heart
Hibiscus tea was recommended to me for heart health. After finding that the prepacked teas with hibiscus were kind of expensive and quite frankly didnt taste very good (to me), I decided I would try loose flowers.I now add a pinch of these dried hibiscus flowers to nearly every cup of tea I drink (and I drink a lot of tea of all kinds, including green, black and a variety of herbals). Using a decent tea infuser ( FORLIFE Extra-fine Tea Infuser and Porcelain Dish Set ) it's really easy to turn any tea into a hibiscus tea.My blood pressure has come down since I started using this on a regular basis.Over the years only 3 things have brought my blood pressure down:1. the first time I went on medication, it dropped but not enough and it stabilized and wouldn't drop further2. 8oz of grape juice a day (100% pure grape juice, no sugar added, but also NOT the sugar free, you dont want the artificially sweetened crap either)3. hibiscus (1 to 3 cups a day whether infused into another tea or brewed by itself. I use one pinch of the flowers a day and than rebrew it from the same pinch a couple of times)By using just one pinch of the flowers a day, this bag will last a long time.Note: this is a really big bag of dried flowers. It's going to last a while and you don't want it to get moist. My solution has been to dump a smaller portion into a small zip lock container (it holds enough to last me about 2 months) and I put the rest of it into a larger zip lock bag that I only have to open once every couple of months. At the rate I'm going I think this bag could last me a year as I've had it now for about 4 months and I'm maybe a 3rd of the way through it.

Flavorful, dried small pieces. Fresh.
Very flavorful and aromatic, makes a very strong and deep colored hibiscus tea! Petals are dried thoroughly and crunched. Not powdered and they are sifted but not like the big flower petals in the Frontier brand which is my favorite. Still this brand is $15+ for 2# and theirs is $11+ for 1#. Both way better deals than most others. I use 1/3 cup of this Africa Import tea to 2 quarts water in my Teavana cold brew overnite in fridge and it makes an extremely strong iced tea.

Delicious tea.
This is a wonderful tea. I mix it will black tea, so the two-pound bag will last me a long time. It adds a delicious lemon flavor to the tea. Hibiscus is supposed to be good for blood pressure, but I don't notice any difference. My one complaint is that I use honey in my tea, and hibiscus makes some gritty precipitate when I add honey. Not just this one, any hibiscus tea. I make a large (20oz) mug in the morning at work, and it usually lasts me into the afternoon. I just dump the last couple sips in the bottom of the mug when I wash it out before heading home.

... hesitant at first but it's relatively tasty but very sweet and it smelled sweet as well
Was hesitant at first but it's relatively tasty but very sweet and it smelled sweet as well. The price was reasonable.I mix it with other tea to vary the flavor and use less hibiscus leaves to reduce the sweetness.Haven't noticed any changes in my blood pressure which hibiscus tea flowers are suppose to help but it's good drinking. The 2 lb size will last me a relatively long time ~ 1 year or so.

Makes wonderful tea
Bought from Sweet Pea Spice. Very nice flowers that are not overly dry. These are definitely some of the best I've ordered from Amazon, and I've tried from Davidson's and Star West. Only possible negative is that it's packaged in a crappy cellophane bag that may be susceptible to damage in transit. If the price is right, I'd buy it again.

Very good...
Works good. I add a little to my regular green tea and drink it that way. Gave to my mom when she was out of her head from hip surgery and she totally came back to normal. Everyone in my family noticed. She was in rehab for three months and she was totally out of it. We did reduce her medicine also, and maybe that and the tea. I have a friend with high blood pressure and he takes it for that.

Actually my Son who is at college took this and absolutely loves it. He makes a drink out of it. Boils water for so long and puts some sugar with it sometimes. Its amazing!! I usually make teas out of it , however he took it so I will have to buy myself some now!!! Its very fresh. Fresher than what we have bought from other stores! EVER!
