Very workable
Received my Aeron Desk Chair, couldn't wait to open and get it put together ~ which was a breeze. A couple of screws to attach the back and it was up and running. The ability to raise and lower the chair so easily is a big plus, as I change positions often when working. Comfort is excellent, ergonomics are great. Smooth rolling. Wish I had had it years ago in my away from home office when I was working full time. And the price was what I was willing to pay. Didn't realize it would be such a great chair at such a great price.

Great chair, not adjustable
Buyer beware: This chair is ONLY adjustable for height (up/down). I have been researching an adjustable ergonomic office chair for several weeks and came across many glowing reviews of the Herman Miller line. Unfortunately, however, I purchased this model which does not have lumbar support, tilt adjustment, or other options available on many other models. I will be returning this chair. Look carefully at the item details and make sure you buy a chair that fits all of your needs, especially given the costs of the Herman Miller chairs.

Gets High Praise
This wasn't a purchase for me but for the better half who spends hours a day at her computer and was really dealing with back issues due to that.I think 5 minutes after receiving this chair and putting the back on it she was in love with the thing. This model doesn't have all the bells and whistles as some of them do but, she's perfectly happy with it as is.I'm too tall for this model but I have sat in it and I can say it's very comfortable! It tends to rock back slightly to take the weight off of your spine and put it against the back of the chair so you don't find yourself leaning forward to get in a comfortable position. Some may say it's insane to spend this much on an office chair, to you I say, if you spent as much time as she does at your desk then you would think this is a drop in the bucket to not have an aching back every night.

Disappointed: few adjustments
Ordered this based on the description online. On arrival I found out that it does not have adjustable arm rests. The brochure that came with the chair lists 10 possible adjustments. Of those, 9 are 'only available on some models'. I wouldn't want all 10 adjustments, but arm rest height is one I would have wanted. The seating is comfortable and the height adjustment is good. I had just expected more based on Aeron's good reputation. Caveat emptor still applies to good brands. This might be a product that you should buy from a store where you can see and test the different models. It is a complicated product and it may be beyond Amazon's ability to present the alternative versions.I'm giving 2 stars because I see other people have hit the same problem yet the web interface still does not adequately show what is and is not adjustable.

How are non-adjustable arms ergonomic?
It's a great chair but it's only getting three stars because a $729 ergonomic chair should have adjustable arms. My bad, I didn't read the description through, but non-adjustable arms that sit this low defeat the purpose of an ergonomic chair. It cost $200 additional to get adjustable arms and with it a bunch of other bells and whistles.I had the super fancy chair at work a few years ago and that's why I got this....but I did not realize that my former employer spent $900 on employee chairs. I had it good.

Great Comfort, Good Looking, Expensive
I've been sitting in a (slightly fancier) Aeron chair at work for several years now, and it is definitely the most comfortable office chair that I've ever used. I can sit in this for hours without any discomfort. The basic model lacks easy armrest adjustment. You select the armrest site when assembling the chair, and it requires a bit of disassembly to adjust. Not a problem for me, as I'm the only frequent user of the chair. The version I have at my office has a quick adjust, but I can't recall ever adjusting it after initial set-up. If you'll have multiple people of different size using this chair, this might not be the right model for you. This definitely isn't a cheap chair (I'm assuming there's lots of profit somewhere in the chain), but I sit in this thing every day, and I'd definitely pay again if I somehow became separated from my chair. Durability seems pretty good -- the one I sit in daily at work looks pretty much new after several years of use.

I didn't realize it was non-adjustable
I didn't realize this chair was non-adjustable. It has seat height and tension, nothing more. This is my own fault, it is clearly stated in the product description, but I didn't think to look because frankly I didn't know H-M even MADE such a stripped down chair. I'm tall so the arms were in a completely unusable position for me.On the other hand, if you're not mechanically helpless, you *can* move the arms and lock them into the slot you want. You will need a T25 Torx (the six-pointed star shape) screwdriver to take off the arms. If you remove the back piece (mine was shipped with the back already off) you can see the bolt holding the arms on. Remove the bolt, pull the cosmetic plastic strip out of the arm groove, and screw the bolt back in the arm piece at the desired height. It took me about 10 minutes and the chair now fits me perfectly. So if you bought this chair without realizing the arms aren't adjustable, don't despair!
