Works like a charm. Great quality stainless steel. Plus it fits the oil filter I already have.

I render my own lard and needed a metal or high temperature funnel when transferring it from the pan to a mason jar. I saw for a few dollars more I could get the Kuchenprofi with a filter so I figured I would give it a shot. The screen hole sizes in the filter is small and don't look as small as a metal coffee filter screen but the lard came out just as clean, so it seems to do a good job. Overall, the funnel is nicely built and feels sturdy. The filter does not fit tight, it fits snug and sits in a tapered part of the neck of the funnel so that it doesn't move around when liquid is poured into the funnel. I've only used the funnel for filling mason jars and it sits in the jars perfectly stable. (I think it has enough weight & width to it that it doesn't move at the slightest bit of pressure like a super thin & tall funnel would.) The surface area of the screen is large enough that I have not had any problems with it backing up or draining at a tedious rate. As the other reviewers have mentioned everything about it is quality: the handle is nice, it has some weight and thickness to it, the funnel & filter are easy to clean, the filter is not extremely delicate, etc. All in all is it worth it? If you don't use a funnel many times a year or don't do much canning then I would say no. If you're like me and bad tools that you use often piss you off when they don't work then spend a couple dollars more for this. (I also like that fact that this is made in Germany as opposed to China. I would prefer the USA, but Europe will work.)

Great quality and has many uses!

This is a wonderful Product however it was not cared for in shipping which was a shame . It is crafted to fit in most every Jar opening which desired function. When I do get a replacement for the problem that ensued in shipping I know I will benefit from it's design.

Phenomenal product! Love at first use! I use it to filter oil from my deep frying setup, and it filters 98% or better of the impurities and takes less than a minute to filter over 2/3 of a gallon of oil.. The wide spout kicks butt, and the mesh insert is finer than I had anticipated, making it able to filter all but a few specks of fried fine flour or cornstarch when using them as coatings. Heavy, sturdy construction--this funnel's European manufacturing stands out (refreshing in this day of poorer quality Chinese goods). Only drawback I can see is the strainer just loosely sits in the funnel, making a possible separation and loss during storage a possible issue for some households. I put funnel and strainer into a sealable plastic bag and store inside the cleaned fry basket between uses, solving the problem for me. A little pricey, but SO EFFECTIVE and so sturdy and quality made, its worth the money. Makes the formerly laborious chore of filtering deep fryer oil so much easier! Highest recommendations!

I got this to strain milk from my goats. It was much less expensive than the ones offered elsewhere for that specific purpose, and it works every bit as well. It is sturdy, well made, easy to clean, but would be easier if the inside was as polished as the outside, instead of a brushed finish, but to me that is minor. It fits both wide and regular size mouth canning jars. The removable strainer is stainless and a very fine mesh...perfect for my application. The handle is a heavy double wire that is welded on. It was more costly than the other funnels this size, but worth it for the strainer that is not available with any of the other funnels offered.

Wonderful gadget, this is so much easier than taking my strainer and taking my funnel and trying to hold it all together while I pour stuff through it .I make kombucha and always have to strain out the large pieces.

It looked bigger in the picture, was presented with milking equipment I bought, so I thought it was a milk strainer for my goats. The holes in the strainer are the size for tea straining or making jam. I currently use a coffee reusable filter for pouring my milk into jars, which is about half this size and the holes are a bit smaller, and it does not catch all the hairs or little dirt specks. I don't expect this one to either, with bigger holes, but we will see. If you do canning or need to funnel stuff into jars, this will work great, and it's nice that the little strainer comes out for cleaning or different uses. Good for canning, not so good for straining fresh milk from goat or cow. About 4" tall. Not very big for milk, but good for canning.

Works great for filtering deep fryer oil

Dieser Marmeladentrichter ist ein wirklicher Traum. Die Ränder der Gläser sind nie mehr verkleckert. Leider ist die Öffnung unten etwas groß, somit passt er nicht auf jedes Glas. Ich würde mir diesen Trichter immer wieder kaufen, da er eine wirkliche Arbeitserleichterung ist.

Makes pouring my bone broth into jars so easy

I bought six of these to help in straining Maple Sap during the Maple Syrup making process. I also bought six small stainless steel Milk Cans, to hang from the TAPS or SPILES on the Maple Trees, to collect the sap. I put the funnel into the opening of the Milk Can, after I have taken the lid off of course, and the sap drips through the sieve or filter, that is in the bottom of the funnel. The sieve fits perfectly in the bottom of the funnel, and that is essential, because if the sieve didn't fit, debris would enter the Milk Can, and the funnel with the sieve is the very reason I bought the funnels in the first place. The sieve itself is a fine mesh, so it can filter out very small particles. A lot of fine craftsmanship went into the making of these funnels. The fit of the sieve is not sloppy or loose in any way. It is machined like a fine automobile!!!! The stainless steel is blemish and scratch free, shiny and perfect, and all six funnels arrived in PERFECT condition. They took a while to get to me here, in Ontario, but are worth the wait. I would definitely highly recommend!
