Cool toy
I've been trying to decide about a review for this machine, so here goes. My acer helios 300 gpu went out. So I need something new. I never dreamed of getting an alienware, but amazon had the payment plan, so I thought why not. This thing is 100x quieter then my acer. I mean the alienware goes up alittle bit, but not bad. I can't tell a huge difference, between the screen quality. The graphics between a 1660ti and a 3070 seem pretty similar. The alienware is definitely faster. I haven't decided on the price is it worth it idk. The keyboard is dumb, no number pad, just little things. I think if your going to make a premium product give it some premium toys. So anyhoo this definitely a great machine. I play guild wars 2, assassin's creed valhalla and odyssey, border lands 3, many games. It runs them on all high and ultra. So I say check out the alienware power.

Bought this for work, but its a solid gamer as well!
Picked this up to do some work from home and also a little gaming. Man this thing deliverson both fronts. Amazing 1440p screen with gsync for very smooth gaming, also has a mux switch soyou can disable optims for even better gaming performance (at the cost of battery life). Defiinitely not a cheap laptop but for what you get i think its a reasonable price.I did upgrade the ram to 32gb and also added a second 2tb nvme drive. One thing i would recommend though is a quick undervolt on the cpu and gpu which will lower the temps on this thing drastically.

I wanted to like it so bad.
This is my second AW device ever. Aesthetically, it’s beautiful. Build quality is superb. But it’s not all about that now is it? NOPE. My first AW had hardware issues years and I thought maybe enough time has passed that I could finally buy another. It worked great at first. I was streaming games from my switch to it and editing video with no issues. I only did that for maybe 2 weeks at most. Majority of the time the laptop just sits there. Now I started to notice the problems toward the end of November. There’s a lot of lag with the software and the fans kick on for almost anything. Opening up google chrome? Fans on hyper speed. I’m way passed my return window so I’m stuck with this for now. I do a little bit of gaming but my main thing is music production. I don’t do anything on it too intensive and I always check the CPU/Ram levels while doing so. Another issue, I just formatted the pc today because updates to apps/programs wouldn’t actually install. I would install the updates and then when it was done the update would still be available to install. I haven’t checked to see if formatting it and reinstalling windows fixed the issues but I will post an update in a few weeks. As of right now I would advise people to look elsewhere ESPECIALLY if you’re into music production.

Amazing Laptop for Gamer people
Love how strong is the setup. I had an old desktop with a GTX1650 and now I got 4x to 8x fps improvement (like from 50fps to 200fps), and rised from hd to full hd.Don't have any complain about it, if I need to point something is the keyboard is not the mechanical one, but still very good.RTX3070 is definilly a very nice choice to play games!

Sleek looking and beautiful 1440p screen!
Sturdy laptop, with beautiful 1440p display. Very fast and perfect mid range gaming laptop. However, I was super disappointed to find out that there was something wrong, with the Motherboard; after running some hardware tests. Not to mention I thought I had ordered the model with the 3070 instead of the 3060.Nothing wrong with the 3060 for most, but I wanted something that would be A bit more future proof. The other major downside, is that Amazon shipped my laptop in it's Alienware box, with a much bigger box that it was inside of. The problem there was that there was no foam or bubble wrap inside the box to keep the laptop from bouncing around in the bigger box. When you spend 1700.00 on a laptop you want it to be packaged as safely as possible, as to not allow any damage to the laptop or it's internal parts. (The box was damaged and the damage went through the outer packaging; all the way to the Alienware box). There wasn't even anything on the outer packaging saying that it was a fragile package.I contacted Amazon to let them know that there was damage to the packaging and the Alienware box inside. I explained that I was very unhappy that the package wasn't better protected with some bubble wrap or peanuts, or something.Their reply was that "they had saved millions of dollars, by not using bubble wrap and that it was better for the environment". Why would you say that to a customer, who was upset that their package was damaged; after spending my hard earned money for something I could barely afford to begin with. I don't care how much money a billion dollar industry has saved, by not properly securing customers expensive items.Basically, despite the laptop being awesome. Somehow, the motherboard was not functioning properly and whether or not that was due to the fact that it wasn't packaged properly. I definitely won't be ordering anything from Amazon that is so delicate ever again.Thankfully, I was able to return it and get a full refund.
