As the owner of a 50 year old Christmas Cactus and anyone who knows the segmented stems /cladodes can get heavy and stress the joints and I've tried all sorts of things to support the stems especially in stems I've propagated taking stress off the joints of the young growing segments. This literally will save your Christmas Cactus, Thanksgiving Cactus and Easter Cactus. I took just one and bent it into an arch and it was long enough to support several branches. They are so easy to use and bend and will not give way under the weight. I am so pleased I came across these because all the other types of supports were all way too large for smaller plants or so obtrusive the work very well for support . They blend in and you don't even notice them. They are coated so these will not rot and contaminate the soil. I am sure I will find other uses among my many houseplants, If you own any of the holiday cactuses then this is a must have to protect your investment. For the money it's a great investment.

For some reason the orchid plants I have love to rebloom. They tend to rebloom big. I never realized that they could rebloom so big that the flower spike would fold in half. I was just sick when I looked at the poor thing. There were so many large blooms and it looked like the whole thing would die. I did not have a single orchid wire that was anywhere near large enough. I was grateful to find these. When they came I still had to make them a little longer as the spike was very tall. Once I did, I was able to clip the spike to the wire and the flowers survived for quite a while. They did not survive as long as those on the other plants. Considering that the place where the spike bent sort of shriveled up, that's not surprising. The wires are easy to bend either into a curve, or into a 45° angle like the last picture shows. They are also sturdy enough to hold a very large orchid spike. The only thing is I needed one that was half again longer!

These are great to secure the stems on orchids. My husband has several orchids and these stakes work great.

I like that these supports blend in with the plants. They are difficult to bend.

I was looking for tall stakes to support orchid stems when the flowers would be so heavy as to cause them to break. These had great strength despite their thin gauge. The green color blends in with the flower stems so they are unobtrusive. Just what I hoped for

These orchid stakes are just what I need and are exactly the way they are described.

2 stars because they were easily returned. I can't figure out why I only received 4 and why some were bent? It was very strange.

Not usable for anything. Too weak. Very disappointing.
