These are excellent pencils, being metal and not plastic. The plastic ones may be cheaper, but they readily break. Don't buy the plastic ones. These are worth every penny. I have them come automatically to my business every few months, just so I never run out and can give them away to my employees. They are tough and they last.

Colored leads are of very nice quality as you can see in my pictures I wrote with each one, no I didn't apply heavy pressure when writing, just a normal amount. The Black leads are a beautiful dark robust black. The erasers do a great job! 👍 and the sharpeners even as small as they are... do a good job. I just have to be cautious to not lose them. These leads do not break easily at all, I have not had any problems with that with normal use. Matter of fact I am use to using a .05 mechanical pencil and I thought I would never like these pencils but honestly I love them. I get just as fine of a line and they are even darker and even sturdier so for me... they are Rockstars of mechanical pencils.

The holder for the pencil is gorgeous and has a wonderful confortable hand feel. I'm not an expert on the subject but in my personal opinion, the lead is softer than I expected and seemed to dull fairly quickly, leaving you sharpening frequently. The colored pensils also seemed to write a bit faint. I would have preferred a richer hue. I think it is more often used for drafting though, perhapse it's a matter of using it for it's intended purpose. I'm going to leave my review anyways as a warning to anyone who might have similar expectations. I still think it's a fairly excellant pencil set, but less than perfect all the same.

Happy with the set…good price…delivery was quick…quality appears good, but time will tell. At this moment, I would recommend the set.

The pencils feel really nice to hold and use. They are metal (aluminum I think) and feel solid. I haven’t had any mechanical issues whatsoever nor any durability problems. Frankly the reusability is astounding compared to something like a standard mechanical pencil. The shining star here though is that in the case is a lot of extra items that really expands the use and would be annoying to buy separately such as multiple hardnesses of graphite, erasers, sharpeners, and a large variety of colored leaf as well.

The mechanical pencils are relatively high quality at a reasonable price. I use them both at home for art projects and at work for note taking

I personally love the NicPro pencils. They're light, feel solid, and put down lead well. The erasers they come with are even top notch and work extremely well. I'm not 4 or 5 star rating these only because they do NOT come with black. The tubes that are labeled as black are actually HB graphite. So, if you are looking for black (like I was) for shading, etc. you will still have to buy it separately.
