I was pleasantly surprised with the great quality of this dress! I'm a size 10 and a Large fit perfectly. The drawstrings in the front hem add such a cute shape to the dress and are customizable and the back waistband has elastic so it does have a bit of stretch there if needed. It is a little tight in the shoulders when you go to lift your arms or hug someone but not unbearably so. I 100% would recommend this dress and I can't wait to find more opportunities to wear it!!

I wasn't sure I would like the material for this deress, but was pleasantly surprised at how nice it feels. It was a little large around the waist and upper body, but not enough that I woud want a smaller size. I wish it came in more lively colors. The style is casual, cute. Would be nice if the company also offered an under skirt so that when you pulled up the ribbons in the front, you could have an underskirt, if desired. I am returning the dress as I was looking for something a little more dresses. But I love the style so wish it would have come in dressier material also.

I’m obsessed with this dress! I ordered a Large because a lot of reviews I saw were saying it ran small or was too tight up top, but I had plenty of room. I should’ve stuck with my normal size of Medium (usually wear a 6/8 in dresses) which was exactly what the size chart recommended. So in my opinion the dress is true-to-size, but maybe if you have a larger chest it would make sense to size up since there’s not much stretch. My measurements are 34C-30-40; I’m 5’6” and about 150lbs, for reference. I’m still going to keep the dress because I planned to wear it with a corset and a poufy petticoat anyway; and you can tighten the strings in back a lot so it’ll still work for my Halloween costume (Nadja from WWDITS), and I will totally wear this in my day-to-day life as well.Overall I’m so impressed with how well-made the dress is and what a great price for such a versatile piece that can be dressed up or down and styled in so many ways. I will definitely be buying more Scarlet Darkness items in the future!

I will update with a photo ASAP! But,I love this dress. It’s made of nice fabric. It’s not to stiff and can be worn comfortably. Dress it up or down. I purchased it because I volunteer at old western re-enactments and needed a mourning dress. When I got it I was pleasantly surprised to see the detail! It’s got black lace work and the back ties with the corset style tie. It looks amazing with a petticoat or hoop skirt and an underbust corset in wine color is absolutely gorgeous! Or you can wear it as is. It’s comfortable and pretty! It’s very vintage gothic style. I love it! On length as is with no petticoat it’s a little below my calf. I’m 5’9 so it’s perfect. 🖤And honestly, I hate leaving reviews. But this dress doesn’t have any and it should. The sizing is on point. I highly recommend using the sellers size chart and No amazon’s.

This dress is super cute and great for a last-minute costume. However, there isn’t a lot of give to the fabric, so if you’re between sizes like I am, it might be a little tight in some areas. My breasts were strapped into this thing like we were about to go run a marathon.

This is exactly what I wanted. I’m size 10, 5 foot 6, 147 pounds. 34 DD. I ordered the large. It fits well but is a bit big in the waist but fits the bust. I’m wearing a corset with it. Great value. Recommend.

First of all, the dress arrived ripped. But even weirder the front is seen crooked so it didn’t fit properly from the first moment I tried it on. I am so sad because I needed this dress for an event.

Super cute. Love it. Worth it. Buy it.Just take the time to cut the arm elastics.Yes. It will give the sleeve a slightly less bubbled look - but the elastic was too scratchy & tight on my arms.I made some small slit cuts and snipped out the elastic.It barely altered the dress from a visual perspective, but made it so much more wearable.

Bought the xl because they do fit a tad small. Great workmanship, details and materials. So good we bought one of every similar type dress the company makes.5’ tall. 147 pounds. Fits nicely.
