Cool little ship.
It came perfect. All the decals are lined up great. The stand is adjustible so you can get a nice level display. I'm taking it to Talos 4 to reestablish contact and visit Captain Pike's grave.

Good model a mess of a magazine
The is xl model of the Oberth class that is issue 36 in the normal line. There are vast improvements to the models detail do to it being an XL model. The Aztec paint scheme is more visible than the standard model I do have issue with the packaging. This is the third XL model that I have gotten, that has a clear circle sticker over the opening tab. I nearly ended up destroying the tab when removing the sticker. My main issues are with the magazine. The magazine is cut down and about half of its normal size . For some reason this not the USS Grissom but the USS Pegasus Despite being same class the model. The markings on the model are clearly the Pegasus, Yet the magazine is about star trek III The Search for Spock and the USS Grissom appearance in that film. There is only one page that has any content on the Pegasus in the magazine. I feel they should have simply just named the model USS Grissom, as most of the magazine is about star trek III not it appearance in the next generation. I do recommend picking this or the normal issue 36 up.

The seams need a little smoothing, but otherwise quite satisfactory.
The USS Pegasus doesn't have an extensive library of appearances, but shows up in a fairly important TNG episode. The ship is similar to the USS Grissom from STIII. This is an unlit model that is heavier in weight than it would be were it a plastic home-built model. It comes with a nice looking felt-bottomed stand and clear plastic holder. The decals are nicely applied and for the most part properly aligned, but there are a few places where the paint for the windows was applied quite a distance from the window embossing. There's a very well illustrated descriptive booklet included in the box, which largely discusses STIII. There are a few places where you'll probably want to smooth out the seams. This can be accomplished with some modeling putty and touch-up paint. Cost is a little steeper than it would be were this to be a home-built plastic model, but once you account for time and paint (and recognize that there are no plastic models of the Pegasus available), you're in good shape.

A great XL model of the Oberth class science vessel, made famous from Star Trek III: The Search for Spock for being ambushed and destroyed by a Klingon Bird of Prey. (It was the USS Grissom NCC-638 that was destroyed in the movie). A nicely detailed and constructed model by Eaglemoss, which always starts discussions about “how does the crew get from main saucer to the secondary hull?” Photographs well and looks spectacular. Delivered securely and on time by Amazon

Nice model. Lots of detail, nicely painted. The Pegasus was featured in TNG, the class of ship has also been seen on the Star Trek movies (namely ST3) and other episodes of the later TV series. So you can now get up close and personal with a screen-accurate model. Really like it!

This is a good size model with lots of detail. Unfortunately, with the one I received the decals on the saucer section are a fraction below where they should be, so the ship's name is distorted and window blacking is not where it should be, spoiling the final finish, hence the 3 stars.
