Based on her experience, it was one of her favorite biographies and it was well written.

They really should have stressed the more life story part of this book vs the cookbook part. It only has a few recipes in it and they're fine. I bought this because I really like reading Christina Tori's cookbooks and all the little blurbs about her life and work. If you like that stuff too, it's a great book, but if you want more recipes, one of her other books would be a better choice. It has a lot about her and where she comes from and how that influenced her baking so if that's your thing, I'd pick it up. It's a pretty light read, but I enjoyed it.

This is a very small book, about the size of an airport paperback, though much thinner, and it is strictly a memoir, with only a very few recipes. It's my fault for not investigating properly, but I also think that the way it's described is misleading. So do buy this if you are interested in memoirs, but if you are looking for a cookbook, look elsewhere.

I love anything Christina Tosi bakes , writes or appears in on TV! This little gem of a book is such a fun read. Once you crack it you will find yourself immersed into her stories which depict her life as a kid and into adulthood. I couldn't put it down and can't wait to try some of these fun and delicious recipes. This is not your typical book about baking , but rather an inspiring and nostalgic peek into her life with some simple and fun recipes she shares. It's a world I wanna be in!!!!

I am almost finished reading this lovely book (started yesterday with much other work to do but can’t stop)! If you are in need of inspiration, positivity, family love and support, recipes, secrets and tips, authenticity and beauty, this is your book! I am so inspired and heartened by every single word! The world needs more Christina Tosi! I baked every day during Covid and appreciated her sweet tooth embrace and stories here! Thank you!!!!!!
