I own other, older Taser products and didn’t really understand the need for this one. But then one day it clicked. The niche this product fills is that it doesn’t look like a gun, it looks like a modern piece of technology like something Apple might design. You might be saying so what, I’m not buying it for looks, all I care is defending myself. But hear me out. Because it looks like some tech gadget and is not threatening means you can carry it in your hand, purse, backpack, or back pocket without freaking out fellow citizens- and more importantly not accidentally getting yourself shot by a cop who thinks you’re carrying a gun. It’s bright white, not tactical black and most people aren’t going to know, care or notice what it is. It’s perfect if you’re a professional walking around in the city. And because it’s Taser technology that the cops use, you can rely on it to work (as well as anything will, nothing is 100%). I don’t work for Taser or have any affiliation, but am interested in non lethal technology to keep me safe without having to shoot anyone.

I was very excited about this product - I love the unique design and all the intelligent features (like the infrared aiming sight that turns on when the device is armed.) I work in the inner city and it has been getting crazier and crazier since COVID, so I decided to get a non-lethal taser for protection. I am very happy with the Bolt 2. The training videos make it easy to learn taser safety, and how to set up and use the device. I feel comfortable carrying and using it if I have to. I also love the fact that this is a smart self-defense device that pairs with your cell phone. There's really no price to put on the kind of confidence and peace of mind the Bolt 2 brings. Invest in your safety - You're worth it.

First one arrived DOA. This one works well and batteries last longer than the Pulse+. One critique, I wish it was rechargeable or that the battery compartment was more easily accessible as well as incur damage to swap out CR123's. Combined with Axon's lack luster warranty on these civillian models, not much confidence in long term use. It is nice and a drawback that is uses the same cartridge from Pulse, C2, etc.... but that also means you'll need more space between you and an attacher for nmi. Overall, we prefer the design more similar to the C2 than a small pistol but still falls short for a serious contender of personal protection. Until TASER 10 like performance can be had for us normies, Glock is a more likely choice for personal protection.

As stated, I haven't had to use the Taser Bolt 2 yet, but having this effective means of self defense helps me feel less fearful going outside, shopping, walking. I'm 76, can't run, not able to fight back. Also if I were present when a shooter threatened a public place, I might be able to immobilize them for the 30 seconds it would take to secure the person and their weapon. BTW… the Taser weighs 8.4 ounces. Shipping weight is 1.08 kg/2 pounds.

Your LIFE depends on this device, and the brilliant engineers who designed this didn’t think it was important that this device should warn you (a light, beep, anything) when the battery is low or dying!!! YOU have to periodically check if the battery is ok by switching the device as if you’re about to shoot it. One day I decided to practice using it, and sure enough NOTHING…the battery was completely dead with no prior warning!!! If this was a life or death situation, I would have been in trouble. This device should have been designed to flash a red light or beep when the battery needs replacing!!! HUGE oversight and a BIG thumbs down!!! No one should have to rely on a life saving device and have to “wonder” if the battery will work that VERY DAY you’ll need it (and for me it didn’t)! For that reason alone, totally worthless! A true shame for it being made in the USA. We can and should do a lot better than this!

I didn’t watch the video on how to safely load the cartridges. I learned a very valuable lesson. But I guarantee you this will stop a predator right in their tracks. Perfect for women, especially college-aged women. I feel 10 times safer now that I have this taser.

I love this. It is clearly visibly not a gun, it is easy to get out and it is easy to use. However, you should also carry arm/leg zip ties (like handcuffs made out of plastic) so that when you do immobilize someone you can detain them, especially if you cannot run that fast. 30 seconds is quick. That said, I would do it at your own risk since I have no idea how a person reacts under a taser, ie thrashing around, and then you just waste valuable time trying to zip them up. But, they say you can taser a 2nd time, from what I understand.

as of this review the listing is unavailable, I bought the bundle, it didnt come with anything listed. I didnt get the holtser, the rugged carrying case, or conductive target, wich were all listed in the description at the time. Further more the date markd on the kit makes it look newer. when i looked at the date of the cartridges they will expire in 3 years, so i dnt get the full 5 years of use with cartridge. Very pricey for you not to get everything in the description.
