「アメリカのシューベルト」（実はパクリの名人）アーヴィング・バーリンの歌曲集。いろいろな歌手、バンドのアルバムからのオムニバスだが、１９５０年代以前のアメリカのポピュラー音楽が好きな人に向け、入門編として、また、イージーリスニングとしてお勧め。録音が古いのでモノラル録音だが、上手に編集されていて、リズム、音程、音質、音量、いずれも違和感がない。安いし、文句なし！

Great tunes...
I'm new to this 'really old' stuff but am loving it. It's a brilliant album that showcases the incredible scope of this man's gift for creating timeless melodies. You will know most of these songs because they have become part of the collective folk memory. It was maybe music you passed off as your Great Granny's music, but Granny was right - these are great songs!
