Lots of fruit and nuts
I was amazed at the amount of nutritious fruit and nuts. Definitely made my flock of native birds very happy. I gave a 5 for flavor but I can’t really be sure as I did not taste it.

The birds love these cakes!
These seed cakes are really great! They are well put together without all the greasy feeling coating that holds most of these suet cakes together. They have plenty of seed and very closely resemble a granola bar with lots of nuts too! I highly recommend them and your birds will thank you!

Mixed rating, different product from past
I have been purchasing this product for the last 2 years, but the last 3 boxes (of 12) were harder and darker in color. The birds and squirrels (!) would just nibble at it. All very different from my previous 7 boxes. Last 3 boxes were 1 star. Previous 7 boxes were fabulous. The following is someone else's review and I agree with TOTALLY, matching my previous experience . Thus the 3 star rating "Mixed"! : Have 6 feeders with different food variety. By far this is the favorite food, especially the woodpeckers. Even the chickadees pick at this meal. I have to replace every other day yet very easy and clean to do so. I just slid it out on one open end into a suet feeder. I have been feeding the birds for 40 years and this is the best overall food unit I have found. It contains no corn but does have one very large nut (filler?) that the birds do not like and remains at the the bottom of the suet cage untouched. I have to remove before putting in another block. Only real negative is that it is also a favorite meal of the squirrels.
