rec'd 1 valve that was right and one valve that was wrong. I'm keeping both as I have a place for both

This is a replacement for those valves where the handle is remotely connected to the valve with a cable, not the valves with the attached handle.(many late model RV's) They fail to describe that the old cable connection housing is unbolted from the old valve and simply reattached around this new valve. 2 of the bolts need to go through this housing as well as the valve body so the bolts are a bit short. Best to get a 1/4-1/2" longer bolt to make job easier. Most of the time the simple seal replacement kit can be used to fix a leaky valve for much less cost and installation as you don't have to attach and adjust the cable/housing. If you are in a bind or remote, order both valve and seal kit and send back what's not needed (I keep a seal kit on hand at all times)

Described as a CABLE operated 3 inch valve ...but came with a handle on it. Won’t work on my trailer, since the valve is not accessible from the outside...needs the 6 ft cable to work.

The valve is good. Now installed, it works smoothly. The screws that came with it were too short for the job. Fortunately we had other longer screws on hand. The part description is incorrect. There is no folding handle. This valve is for use with an actuating cable. The price is high. We could have bought it for less through another website, but since delivery speed was important to us, we ordered this one through Prime. The supplier however did not deliver it to the carrier for two days, and it therefore took 4 days to reach us. Very disappointing!

Same as the original. Does what it is suppose to do.
