As an algae control, its not very good. We definitely still had quite a bit. But I didn't buy it for algae control, so I don't really care. I bought it for price ($29.00) and color (Turquoise, and excellent). Our pond is an effluent pond, so we usually have to dose it after every hard rain. This stuff holds the color as well as any we've used and seems to disperse a little quicker. It does exactly what I expect of it, and it does it well.

We have some property that we cleaned off to use recreationally. I've always wanted a pond too. This pond was the true pond green and brown when it was disturbed. After our property was cleaned up, I noticed that the pond looked even worse and I thought how do people get their ponds so pretty. I was told pond fountain. Well, after looking at the price of those bad boys, I started looking into something a bit more cost effective and found this pond coloring. First used it from Rural king and tried 1 bottle. It was definitely a difference but I wanted a beautiful brighter coloring, so the next month I added 2 bottles and got a deal on Amazon, so I purchase same exact stuff for better cost than rural king. In the pics is the before the coloring and after. Absolutely no filters, same camera, pretty much same location and angle. I love this stuff and recommend it to anyone with a pond. Now, to keep this way, you need to watch it after rain, weather conditions. I do 2 bottles in beginning of March and another bottle, April through September. I like it to have that fancy pond even though it's an old farm pond. Safe for our fish and other wildlife that come to enjoy the pond including our possums, raccoons, Owls, turtles, woodducks, domesticated ducks and the occasional Heron.

This stuff is strong. Use sparingly and as per directions. It does tint the water a beautiful ocean blue.

1 gallon was more than enough for this half acre, semi deep pond. Murkiness From algae Cleared up in days after application. Did not even use the entire gallon! Love the color.

Did not get the color I thought it would produce

A softer blue, a bit green even, rather than the bright unrealistic blue of many dyes. It looks more natural and a cup covers my half acre pond in just a few hours once you pour it in. Lasts for weeks.

This was so easy to use. We poured it along our shoreline of our pond and within 2 hours it had spread throughout the whole pond. We were preparing for our son’s wedding in our back yard and this made our pond look beautiful. I would highly recommend this to everyone. Just make sure you wear gloves as it stains quite easily before it’s mixed with water. We have pet ducks and dogs who are always in the water and it is non toxic and doesn’t transfer to water fowl or pets.
