Great for Afghan hounds
I have tried quite a few products for my neutered Afghan hound for detangling & softening his hair. This product is perfect for us because it has minimal fragrance and it worked great!

Great stuff to detangle longer pet hair and remove matts in horses' manes and tails, but I use it too, and it leaves my long hair silky smooth and shiny and prevents it from tangling.

Works great on my Yorkie!
It works great on my cotton coated Yorkie! The tangles comb right out and she doesn’t even mind. It has a light pleasant fragrance.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: My dog has a tail with fur and is the “don’t touch”” my tail” type. His tail has terrible before I realized. I was sure that the only way was to shave. I tried this product first and was amazed. It really worked. The matts were more like large knots buts the hair started separating when this product was added and I saved the fur

I have been using ShowSheen products for quite some time now --- ON MY HAIR and WEAVE! Yes, ladies! ShowSheen is the key to keeping your own hair soft, in control, and shiny! And for weaves, doesn't matter how expensive the brand, with ShowSheen you can add months of wear before replacing! ShowSheen will tame the frizz and keep your locks extra shiny. The key technique is to add as little as a dime-sized dollop to dry hair, smooth it through (concentrating on the hair ends), and then run your straightening iron through it. The "gel" does not leave any greasy residue or weigh down your hair. I use it daily on my ends. And YES!!! It does control breakage.
