Granite GearPillowsack Stuff Sack

lightweight, well constructed...
This bag/pillow sack is a great thing to have when camping in the outback. It is well built and the materials appear to be of good quality. I do wish the bag was slightly larger. Not in length per se, but in the circumference. If it weren't for the high price, price, I'd say these are a must have for anyone who likes to hike into the outback. But not everyone will afford one of these.

Down With Unitaskers!
Great idea and excellent execution. Not much new to add that others have not already commented on. I will ask the manufacturer if it can be stuffed if it is turned inside out. That would keep the "fuzzy stuff" from picking up as much detritus. I also own a stuff sack that is lined with soft material. When using it as a pillow you turn it inside out. It is NOT oblong in cross-section like the Granite Gear is so it has more of a tendency to roll.

Color Woes…
I know it’s silly, but I hate that the color isn’t as shown, and that you don’t have any way to pick your color with a lot of Granite Gear products. I have their purple/“grape” color hiking wallet and really wanted this to match! Instead I got a teal blue one.I think it’ll do fine for what I want it for (backpacking long distances), but the color thing is just a bummer.

Great pillow!
I bought this with the intention of having an item that worked for more than one purpose in my backpack (helped to shed pack weight). Great pillow! The furry side stayed warm all night in 30 degree temps. I was also able to shape this pillow just the way I liked to make it a lot more comfortable. I washed it upon return and it washes great. The only downside to the product is that the pillow side does attract lint and dirt- but this is not a deal breaker.

Double duty, great size!
I tried to like the inflatable pillows, but I tend to shape the pillow under my arm (I side sleep), and you can't do that with an inflated pillow. Plus, my face gets hot on them. I think this one is going to work well, It fits my down puffy and my shorts nicely to make a firm, but not too firm pillow. If you turn it inside out before you stuff your sleeping quilt into it, the "fuzzy" material would stay clean. It fits my enlightened equipment 850 down quilt quite well (it's a touch smaller than the manufacturer's bag), so it does double duty. And it's 25 cheaper than a exped pillow and won't spring a leak on me.

Better than an inflatable but that's about it
This is the pillow I'll use, but only until I can find another. Comfier than an inflatable, however, not super comfy. Also, the only item that makes it somewhat comfy is my puffy, and there may be times I want to wear that at night so not very practical in my case.

Great Product!
I've been able to take this out backpacking a few times now and I love it. It's more of a square shape which I think helps packing and makes for more of a pillow. It fits perfectly in my sleeping bag and is very soft. I would definitely recommend to anyone that likes things to multipurpose!

Cool Stuffsack
Love this item, but it appears to be made inside out. One would assume the fleece would be on the inside and the entire exterior to be silnylon to facilitate stuffing into a pack. The opposite is true.Still a well made product and very nice to have.
