Q: Will this detect if someone is vaping ?

My wife vapes with the smoke alarm directly above her and it’s never gone off yet. However they must be quite sensitive as the one in the hallway detected steam coming from the bathroom. All in all I’ve been very satisfied with them as they are quite small and unobtrusive.

When the battery is low, the LED will flash red once and the buzzer will beep once every 60 seconds, indicating it is the time to replace the whole unit.

Q: How do I check that the alarm is working properly before I use it?

Before it can be tested and used, the alarm must be properly attached to the mounting bracket. After proper mounting, press the test/silence button to test the unit, then the red LED will flash once every second paired with audible beeps to ensure it is functioning properly.
