Medical-Surgical Nursing Made Incredibly Easy! (Incredibly Easy! Series®)

Great book to have as a nursing student. If you don't have this book and you're struggling with the content of your Med-Surge and having to carry that heavy book around, this is your saving grace. What a great deal! Couldn't have made it out of nursing school without it.

I know that many people reading this will be nursing students looking for a way to pass med-surg. I feel ya. Been there, done that (through tears!)I stepped away from nursing after one year for financial reasons (I found a non-nursing job that paid MUCH more). For the record, I strongly discourage anyone from doing this! When I came back... TWO years later... I (rather foolishly) felt confident. Nursing is like riding a bike right? You can't really forget how to be a nurse right? I mean, I passed NCLEX with 75 questions, after all. I'm.. smart.Face palm.Long story short.. I forgot. A lot. Well, maybe not forgot.. It was somewhere in my mind that I couldn't access :) I felt like a new grad when I stepped back on the floor.This book has been SUPER helpful. It took me awhile before I gave in and bought this book (I mean. It's a book for students right? I'm not a student... at least not a traditional one) But I'm happy I finally purchased it.It gives me a ton of confidence because I realized I know a ton of stuff in this book... but it's still a refresher to things I have forgotten, or haven't seen in awhile. I'll just pick it up and start reading and highlighting things whenever I get the time. Because I'm not learning this for the first time, and its a refresher, it's pretty easy to get through. I pass over things I know I don't see in my practice and focus on the things I do.So, that's my experience. Is the book good? Yes. Is it ... incredibly easy to understand? Yes. Will it help with nursing school? That I don't know. I know that I personally didn't use this in nursing school. Sure it may help you understand concepts but... in my opinion, you should probably focus on you instructor's lectures and the required text book.What I do know is that this booked has helped this RN with a little refresher and to gain back some confidence. Maybe it'll help you, maybe it won't.I would suggest looking through this book at your local book store to see if it's something you'd like, but purchasing on Amazon for the better price.

Muy buen libro para actualizar conceptos aprendiéndolos en inglés. Contenido sencillo y muy bien explicado. Es americano, por lo que las referencias epidemiológicas y sociedades a las que hace referencias son de USA. Por lo demás perfecto si te piensas ir al extranjero.

Can't go wrong with these books. You have to think of it this way ! Instead of reading a book that has 828282 pages in each chapter that has all this extra fluff. Read this instead because they are only going to put the most important ideas in here. Or if your reading your book and all that extra stuff is just making you more confused than go to this book to help you clear things up for you! I have this one and the critical care one. I didn't even pay attention to these books until critical care and without it I think I would have struggled. I never read my real critical care book once, which happened to be the same book we used in med surge. I read my real book in med surge and struggled and never read the made easy books. I never read my real book in critical care and only read the made easy books and I did wonderful in the class. These books really helped me to take complex subjects and think of them in easy ways that I could understand. It allowed for me to grasp the basics and then if I had an application type question I at least had enough information to get by to answer the question right by critically thinking. I wish I would have started buying more and using these books more my freshmen year of college ! Your knowing reading from a graduated and now Certified R.N.

The perfect reference I need, the information is not given in an overwhelming and copious amount, just the essentials and its corresponding key points are presented which is perfect for somebody who has done all nursing education but just needs a brush up on knowledge.
