How many amps is the motor?

The specs say "10 amps". Most vacuums are 12 amps. But the worst of all, the Oreck and clones are only 4 amps because they are small, that is why they are light. Freedom Simplicity is 5.5 amps. Amps create horsepower. Less amp vacuums need smaller heads. If a vacuum doesn't suck, I can only think it is user error, such as a sock or underpants in the tube. That will stop suction.

What vacuum bag goes with this one?

I had to buy bags from our local vacuum store - they are Bissell size 7. They were very hard to find on line - so I had to go to the store . 3 bags sold for $5:99
